I'm pushing 70 and it's great to see Fahey getting some attention from young people. I worked through some of his stuff back in the 70's, you did great!
That was awesome Emily, beautifully played! (and you nailed the bend) I had that album on 8 track tape when it first came out in the mid seventies. I played it constantly in my car. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
Wow you are the only person I've ever found on youtube to do the Bach Cello Suite No. 1 arranged by Stanley Yates. I do the exact same three movements and was looking for someone to listen to doing them the way I also do them. Sounded great. This bluegrass song rocks. Can you tell me where you got this transcription?
@@emily.grace.guitar whoa that's cool. Is the transcription available anywhere? I teach classical guitar and like to play a variety of styles. I've never learned anything bluegrass before and would like to give it a shot.
i dont know if its possible to tell female musicians from male, i always feel there is a diff of touch and sensibility, as in real life...but then i always know its a female or male. in any case, i really like this and it feels more "feminine" than John's version. thanks!
Nice cover, but she makes the same fatal mistakes most Fahey followers make. She plays too fast and too precisely. She has no soul in her playing. It's like hearing a robot.
I know what he means but no one can do Fahey and his timing and touch. I can play most of his stuff but it's only a recreation, not beautiful like he did it
