PBL is doing just a bit of everything, we're cutting some high grade white oak, dragging up some steep hills, backing the semi up a mile to get to the landing and we have a shout out from a young fan of the channel who wanted to say hello! What size saw is he using? Ive never ran a hasq.. always ran the stihls 660, have a 661 now and i love it after they fixed the issues with them..

His is probably a 576 or 572 something like that, it's a new type saw. We also use 395 xp for a lot of the bigger trees, I'm surprised he didn't use it these. Thanks for watching.

The ground seems to be staying pretty spongy. Our weather isn't cold enough for a good hard freeze, it might dip below 32 for a few hours, but warm up again during the day. It's slowed us down pretty good. How's your ground holding up?

😢little to much hinge on that one.. didn't hurt it tho, nice looking white oak tho.. you should weld a u shape on the end of that grapple arch, we did ours and it really does help when pushing them over..

Our old 648 we had a tree pusher and it was very helpful in leaners. We haven't put one on this one yet.

Good job backing that trailer up. Always hate to see a big white oak go down. They make great acorns for my deer!!

Thanks for the compliment, I wish I always did that good backing up! We cut some dandies, but we left plenty for the squires. Got to have some seed trees. Thanks for watching.

are you guys even able to get anything out of the white oak tops? they look really rough and not really worth the effort

They are really rough, but the stave market is so hot right now. They buy stuff rougher than they should and then sawmills are buying rough wo lumber because it's paying well. The stuff that doesn't make saw logs, we try to throw it into crating or pulp. It helps us and the land owners love getting as much of it out of the woods as possible. Thanks for watching!
