Poor Golden Retriever Suddenly Realizes She is at the Vet! 

Probably scared. My dog loved the vet

I've always wondered if our dogs know that we take them to the vet for their own good and not as a punishment.

@@Tony56000they probably don’t, from their perspective they just get poked and prodded and put in uncomfortable situations, the only real way to help them is with positive reinforcement

@@Tony56000 I think they maybe can sense it. Like how you treat them in General. Some Animals can also sense whether a Person is good or evil.

@@feindkontakt5956 I have a theory that dogs might get scared of the vet because we get nervous when going there. As in, we as humans know that animals tend to dislike the vet, and therefore our mood changes to a more serious/nervous one when we take them to the vet. And animals tend to be quite influenced by how the people around them act, especially dogs. So I wonder if our emotions + the poking and prodding that the vet does is what causes the dislike, and not just what the vet does on their own.

My dog, who was afraid of everything, was unafraid to go to the vet. I'm not sure if perhaps it finally put her on a level p!aying field with other dogs.
