Hi Lisa 👋 🥰 Oh wow! That's disturbing! I'm so sorry you had to go through that! So horrifying! Good thing you re-weighted her and discovered that! There are so many of us that don't even take our dolls apart and could potentially end up with terrible issues with our dolls 😮 It's sad and just not right for the artist to do such beautiful painting and then get cheap on the weighting materials! They should know better and we pay a lot of money for these dolls! This just made me want to check all my dolls now! This should be an eye opener for us all. I'm sorry you went thru this Lisa and I'm glad your baby girl will be ok. Thanks for sharing this! Take care and have a blessed day 🙏❤ 🤗🥰😊⚘
Hello Lisa, Piper has such a pretty doll. How horrible to find sand inside your doll. It’s a good job you were able to sort her out. I have found some horrible things inside dolls. I’m glad that your dad is okay and back home 😊❤
Oh Lisa I thought it looked like sand when you put it o Facebook the thought of a beautiful baby maybe going mouldy doesn't bear thinking about just for saving money 😩😩 so pleased your dad is home lots of love xxxx ❤
She’s a beautiful doll, and when you buy a high end product you expect high end results. I once had a doll come weighted with marbles… Glad your dad’s doing better. And you’ll have Piper fixed up good as new in no time.
Wow! Lisa I am in shock. These babies are so expensive to be fooled like that. I have never taken my dolls apart and I would be scared to do it but I wish I knew someone personally that could check mine. She is so cute though
I get my glass beads from Amazon. $33 for 10 lb. I like them. I have a baby that is weighted with the glass marble for vases. It's glass so it's safe just they rub together and you can hear it.
Thanks for the info Lisa! I guess that the seller thought it was be cheaper for her to put sand in the doll leaving the buyer to deal with the mess and potential mold/mildew mess! Glad you were so experienced that you could fix her! So sorry you were deceived like that!
Oh that just stinks…I hope some of my babies that didn’t need reweighing are ok. Sorry they used same. I have seen some weird stuff in babies on other channels and it’s just insane. Glad your dad is home and many prayers for him. God bless you mama.
Oh my gosh Lisa! What a horrible discovery. Thank goodness you discovered it. Thank you for sharing and giving your valuable advice. By the way, we enjoy seeing you on camera. Such a sweet person.
Lisa, I just cannot believe that someone would go to such cheap steps in weighting a baby! I would be so mad!!!!! Thank goodness you found the sand and got rid of it. I am very curious to see what they weighted her bottom and body with. Blessings and love coming your way♥
Poor Piper. I got a really cute Levi baby girl not too long ago that had these three hard odd lumps in her chest belly area. I opened her up and she had some kind of little garden rock sand type stuff in plastic bags in her chest and belly and then her arms, legs and head had that same stuff inside. I don’t know why some artists would put their beautiful painting work at risk like that by putting such strange things inside the darned dolls. Mould is a major risk. I had one baby at the beginning of my collecting journey that had blackish dots on her arms, legs and face. I had no isea what it was. I do now, and she had to be thrown away. It’scrazy. I’m sorry you’re going through that. Piper is so pretty. Thank God you found that stuff before it ruined her. Her baby doll looks so much like her. So cute.Be well & take care.
Yep, that is sand!!!!!! The fact that it was damp makes me think that sand is super cheap pool sand, some places have it outside because the bags can be huge so it's out in the elements. So if there were a small hole in the bag it would cause that. I say this because when I kept huge fish tanks I used pool sand and that's what it looks like. I had one doll in the first year that I was in the hobby and when I opened her to reweight she was full of this sand and it came right through the pantyhose of course and was everywhere. I just say to artists, MAKE sure you list exactly what you have weighted your dolls within their listing, and don't lie about it because we will find out. Hugs. Glad you got her all fixed up. Sending love and prayers to your daddy.
Good evening sweetie. I’m so happy your Dad got to come home. I’m sorry you’re upset about your girl. But she’s done right now 👏👏👏… you would be surprised what I’ve found in most of mine but they are right now too. The prices we pay for these dolls and then they show up the way they do. 😡😡😡 then we are bashed for telling it. 🤬🤬🤬… which is fine with me but people need to listen.
I’m so sorry you experienced this. I told you I have found cat litter in one of my reborn dolls. I was sleeping with her. So far, I have found sand and cat litter in 5 of my babies and also they used black hose to put the beads in and it could have stained my babies vinyl. I spent 200.00 over the weekend on Bountiful Baby. I bought glass beads, zip ties, and brand new bodies. I’m so sorry about your Dad. I just found out because of my eyes. I’m still having trouble with my vision. Praying for your Dad and you and your family. Love you Lisa! ❤️🥰❤️
Hi Lisa, Piper is absolutely gorgeous, I'm so sorry you found sand inside her, that's awful, poor baby.😢 I reweight all my babies too & I always use glass beads & you're right, they aren't cheap, but they are really good. I get mine from either ebay or Tinkerbell creations here in the UK. I'm so glad your able to fix Piper, give her a big hug from me, take care 🤗.
