This the where my love for Hip hop came from... I was born to this long time ago... PRT- X-Clan- Public Enemy- Rakim- BDP and so on... I listened to this before Hip Hop was mainstream
Somehow, I feel that if you were to play this. In the ears of the numb and blind youth. This will surely kill them, literally. It's too much and too powerful. It's been said in ancient text. If you see God, you will surely die. Too Powerful. So you see? There is indeed an entity that's hypnotizing the youth and steering them away from meaningful song and lyrics. Also on that very same tune, couldn't imagine the rude awakening, that also could be too powerful. Could you imagine a world wide awakening when lyrics like these all of a sudden emancipate the dumb auto tuned deceased stricken youth? The result could end in a great?....
That's true Jerissa... but I also find that there's a lot of young ones starting to see the realness of this music. One night after a gig I start talking to a fan - a young girl probably early 20s maybe younger.. I straight asked her, how the hell do you know all these old school rap songs and she's like you fki*n kidding me I love this sh*t.. Wu Tang , BTNH, Eminem etc but its what she said about Eminem that surprised me. "Like I love Eminem but at some point his music changed"..uninspired commercial stuff. The thing is today they have social media and platforms like spotify. They can consume whatever they want anytime they want they are smart. They aint gonna keep consuming un-inspired lyrical content that is coming out now. Record execs and radio stations are in for a rude shock in the next 5-10 years hahaha
It's still amaze me how Wise was spitting like he never eaten in his life in his last album. He kept it real till the very end. Legend. R.I.P Wise Intelligent. I hate to say it but this album is probably the best of 96. This is a Masterpiece. R.I.P Father Shaheed.
Mark Baz PEACE family I love you Mark.. damn I'm sorry I never appreciated you. I'm sure you find yourself alone like I do in certain times. My nigga your one of the most purest souls I ever met. Our time here is limited. Idk if we can change who we are cuz we are who we are. But I love you fam. And I just want you to know your that nigga always. And for that fuck boy who slandered me he can't understand this track.
I assume he means white people are the enemy. He doesn't want to judge on the price of shoes, but is cool with judging on color of skin? More white people fought to END slavery then fought to keep it. Now they're one group? The white people who are the enemy are NOT your niehbors, co workers, people you see in your local stores, drizving around in your town. The enemy is the news media, major corporations, politicians, and they're not all white. Their enemy is the regular citizens of all colors. They want us divided. We need to stop falling for their manipulation!

I alr been into old hip hop for a while now, but I just discovered this joint yesterday and I‘m fuckin amazed by it, what a PHENOMENAL track, this is real hip hop, the perfect example of how great hip hop should sound like, this will definitely be on repeat for me from now on
Wise Intelligent goes so hard on this song. The passion in his voice is infectious. No line is out of place, everything he says means something. A true master, criminally underrated. Crack rappers get all the glory nowadays but these dudes were so on point, really on a higher level. This beat is crazy too.
The only thing we can do is drop the seed and hope it will grow...The truth hurts and everyone need not to be blinded by the illusions of the world....Don't get caught up in tittles and religions ...To me that helps keep people blinded...I love poor righteous teachers no matter how many years ago this album dropped i still love listening to it
The more and more I listen to this song, and PRT/Wise intelligent in general, the more and more I hear how incredibly wise and intelligent this man really is. Concepts he speaks about are rarely spoken about, and he speaks about them with such intricate awareness. Truly an inspirational artist and group.
much thanks and infinate respect to brothas like this from the 90's to present days their the reason why my username is conscious lol... real lyrics live on forever peace brothers and sisters.
I should not be up. Wish i could speak to someone about what i have seen lived and survived. MARK BAZ i love you so much papi. My daughter's kick ass uncle.
Heavenly Hip Hop!...Peace to the True and Living Gods! All praise is due forever to Allah who appeared in the Divine person of Master Fard Muhammad for raising from amongst us the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad...Our Gift in the wilderness of North America.....These are Life Giving Teachings......Wise Intelligent/PRT, thanks so much for performing your duty so diligently and effectively! PEACE!
True !!! You mentioned great names! In my opinion, Del is good but not enough to figure in that list along those Epic names. I'd add Tucka Tha Huntaman (even if he only released 2 tracks (similar flow as Nine)), RuggedNess Madd Drama (probably the sickest Phillie group, just listen to Me & My Squad), Shyheim, Da Youngsta's, A.D.O.R., and Jeru just to name a few as you told. And Preemo of course.
its just me on a youtube comment. but for all the hip hop heads out there and djs on the come up, pay some respect, buy the vinyl and bump this at a show sometime
REAL fucking Hip Hop right here, the type of Hip Hop that the majority of the world population is too brainwashed or uneducated to begin to understand and to TheBronzegoddess1, I agrre with you fully, music like this is eternal because it's filled with so much knowledge :)
THEY SHOULD TEACH THIS IN SCHOOLS: What happened to the Gods and the earths, They thirst for a pot of gold God worth his birth, Knowledge is worth more than diamonds, When the mind is shining surprise us Gods Earth and the 85ers...
this is true lyrics...we go through this shit each and every day...tha sad part is that the new generation, they don't know what this lyrical education is all about. This is real hip hop...with no comercial breaks...dig me? Support real hip hop because were still in tha stuggle
"Since I/Been away/I been thinkin' about/How gun slingas turned singas/And black culture went out." Such a timely critique on the increased corporate centralization of the mass media and its repackaging of hip hop over the past 20 years.
Today i was sitting in class listening to this my bud asked who it was i told him to guess. He anwsered: Lil B? TRUE HIP HOPS FADING... im 16 and kno what real hip hop is. Feels like a lost art
