Happy first day of spring! It’s Monday trivia time! Welcome to our first pop culture trivia video. Most of these cereal mascots are pretty famous, like Lucky from Lucky Charms and the guy furries all want to be, Tony the Tiger from Frosted Flakes. But no one can guess all 28 cereal mascots and their respective cereal brands.
Cereal brands have changed over the years. They used to proudly tout their sugar content with sugar right in the title. When studies started pointing out that one bowl of cereal had the same sugar content as a Krispy Kreme doughnut, brands paid attention and replaced “sugar” with “honey” or “corn” to sound healthier. Today, there are smaller brands trying to disrupt the cereal mafia like, Magic Spoon, a purportedly low-carb, high-protein cereal. And of course, there's Snoop Dogg’s new cereal brand waiting to hit shelves in June 2023. Originally titled Snoop Loopz, the name was changed to Snoop Cereal likely in response to potential lawsuits from Kellogg's Froot Loops. We’ll be trying out the Snoop Cereal Hoopz of Fruit for sure.
Tell us, did you get all 28 cereal mascots and cereal brands right? Have you heard of all of these pop culture icons? Are there any characters you wish the cereal brands would bring back?
