Just hear me out; The DONDA version is supposed to represent the raw talent that Pop exhibited in his short span as a rapper. I think Kanye was trying to highlight his own creativity while also showcasing the sheer power of Pop's lyrics and delivery. Yes, this version is superior as a pure track, but in the album DONDA, I enjoyed that borderline unsettling version of this song. Made Pop feel like a lingering soul above the entire track. Truly transcendent. I know this sounds convoluted but its just IMO
@@daboialbi yea Kanye made TTV for DONDA which was supposed to drop in 2020, the leaks sound a LOT better than what eventually dropped. Dunno why he dropped the OG version, it could've been what Off The Grid became. From what people are speculating Ye probably made the DONDA version bad to send everyone here to listen, so Pop's family get all the revenue.
