Oh Laura, what can I say….I asked for a peek of your gorgeous cat Frankie, and you answered… I was having a really bad day until I saw your beautiful face and the wonderful Frankie, oh and the card is fabulous too! I love all animals but particularly cats and you are so right when you say it’s a cat’s world and we are just being allowed to share it! And I would consist an honour to have a cat named after me! I don't think it's disrespectful to name pets after your loved ones. I think it's fantastic and perfectly normal....people name their newborns after past & present family members for the same reason....to honor and remember them. And your card is adorable!

Pets are family members, so I think it’s the highest form of respect to name a pet after a family member.❤️ all of our dogs and cats have human names and middle names even. Plus lots of nicknames… love this card!!

When I was a child, we couldn't decide what to name our new cat. He ended up being "Sammy, Charcoal, Midnight Ferguson, the Third!" At the time I had two sisters so we all had our choice!

I think it is a wonderful thing to name a pet after someone! It is not disrespectful at all - I can only see it being disrespectful if you call your pet a nickname that a loved one hated. ❤I ama cat-lover (animal lover), and my cat Wendell would be all over that shelf!!

I absolutely love this card! My father-in-law and a friend who got one of my blue heeler puppies both named their dogs after me. I wasn't at all insulted because they did it out of love. I've named pets after loved ones, as well and no one complained. I think it's sweet. 🥰

Such a cute set and card! We had littermates we named Jack and Arnie, because my husband is a golfer--but, his dad is also Jack. I think it's a compliment as it keeps their memory alive. And...you're right about the cattitude...it's THEIR world and they just tolerate us in it. 😂 Love seeing Frank and Hank.

You are a great story teller. I think if the person is/was an animal lover they wouldn’t mind bein named after a pet, after all they are loved members of our families. This card is perfection. My dog is called Ernest after my father, before him we had a cat called Doris, she was named after my partner's mother and we got her the weekend that she died. When my partner was a little boy he called his cat Uncle Harry. Its a nice way of keeping their memories alive.

As a volunteer cat foster pawrent and cat lover since birth, I so enjoyed watching this card come to life! And of course i loved hearing about how Frank and Hank came into your life. My opinion is that it's an honor to name your pet after someone special. I have a special foster kitty who was "unadoptable" that I named Lucy for my grandmother.

One of my sisters in law was absolutely beside herself because a neighbor named their dog Sarah, which happened to be my niece’s name. I personally don’t find anything wrong with it, especially if it is coming from a fond memory or love of someone.

When my stepdad passed, his best friend gave us a puppy and told us we had to name him after my stepdad. We called him Bear, because that was my stepdad s nickname. We already had Smokey, so they made quite a pair 😂

Hi, Laura! Love your card despite the fact that I am NOT a cat person… I agree that when there’s a cat around, it’s a cat’s world - they take over everything… which… is why I am not a cat person! I think it’s adorable that Emma named Hank for her Grandfather and that your son followed suit naming Frank, especially the rhyming element to Hank & Frank. A cat lover would have goo-goo eyes over your card! On a side note… I’m not sure when you added the Rainbow LauraFedora graphic at the start of the video but I love it! Loved the card ! I always put something in the inside of the cards that I make. Somehow they don't feel finished otherwise. If there was a little picture frame on the stencil set, that would make a great way to add the sentiment onto one of the shelves.

When my girls were young, a friend gave them a duckling each. They chose to name them after him and his wife. The couple thought that was wonderful. 🐥 🐥

No, I don't think it's a bad thing to name a pet after a person. I lost my stepdad last year and we had a special bond together as he was an amazing man. I couldn't have asked for a better man for my mom to remarry after my dad passed away, (He was 90 and mom was 85 when they married.) He knew how much I love cats and always called them his grandchildren, lol. I recently got a kitten who has a very friendly and loving personality and so I named him after my stepdad. And now I am not heartbroken when I call his name and when I see him, I always smile remembering all the blessed time I got to spend with my stepdad. I think it is an honor to name a pet after a loved one, as long as it is done with love in your heart and you mean no disrespect. The card you created is beautiful! Have a blessed day! ❤❤❤

This card is fabulous... I'm more a doggie person; I like cats, but their fine hair bothers my allergies worse that dog hair. But, these cats are adorable and, again, this card is absolutely fabulous. I like everything about it... inside, outside, bookshelves, kitties, and especially the words. Yes, I think the inside words, 'I'm Secretly Judging You', is definitely the attitude of a cat... LOL. Thank you so much for sharing.

Perfect! I love all of this! The colors of your card cats are great! I think you did an excellent job "marking" them! Very realistic! And Frankie is the best! There's nothing better than a laid back cat; especially one that will allow you (lol) to rub his belly!! My sister named her first cat after our Grandma and I named my first cat after our Grandma's cat!!! My husband and I have a bunch of rescue cats that are now our kids! We don't name them right away. We wait a few days and figure out some name that fits with their personality, coloring, particular behavior, size, etc!

Steve Irwin named Bindi after his dog. You can definitely name a pet after a grandparent, particularly when it was so thoughtfully chosen by your daughter.

I love the card Laura; we are cat lovers. We have not replaced the 2 we lost a couple years ago, but some day when our live is more settled we will adopt. I named my cat Sam years ago after my dad. My dad was nick named "Sleepy Sam" because his family owned a farm 1940's-1950's and he had to get up early to milk the cows. He would fall asleep in school. My cat was always sleeping so that is why he got the name of Sam. So, no I don't think it is wrong to name a pet after a loved one, it's an honor.

Laura what an adorable card. As far as naming an animal a humans name…I don’t think that’s disrespectful at all. In fact I think it’s an honor…. for 1 they like the name and 2… like your Daughter she’s using it in memory of her Grandfather. I think that is so sweet. I named one of my animals after my mother Inlaw in memory of her. So In my opinion I say No.

Meeee! I’m a cat lover! And I think this card is fantastic! Thanks so much for letting us meet Frank! He seemed to like the attention and didn’t mind being videoed. 😊 If I know someone with the same name as our pet, I just don’t tell them in case they might be offended. In your case, the situation can’t be kept a secret because the names are all in the family. But I don’t think anyone should feel offended.

As a cat lover, this card just makes me smile from ear to ear (even though it does make me miss my cats). I don't know if I would name a pet after a living person that I knew, but might name it after a beloved person who had passed. I'm know there are a lot of pets named after celebrities living and dead. I knew some people with a wacky sense of humor who named their standard poodle after their daughter and she wasn't particularly pleased but could laugh about it. Franky seems like a joy. Has he discovered the roll of toilet paper or paper towels yet?

Laura, you made me laugh out loud with this card and your thoughts along the way. First up -- NO, I don't think its disrespectful to name an animal after those humans we love! I love that so much but doubt anyone would name an animal Yvonne or even Vonnie, my childhood nickname. 😂 Secondly, your card is absolutely delightful and I lost my coffee at that "judging you" at the end!!! SO TRUE!!!😂😂😂 Thank you for the fun this morning!. 🤗❤

Our cat, Balsam (a rescue cat from a Christmas tree farm in western NC-hence the name) allows us to reside in his house! He definitely has cat-ti-tude! Lol! Naming a pet after someone doesn't seem disrespectful to me! Love the card! ❤

We named our first lab Wally after my dad, our second lab Lefty after my dad’s nickname (plus we have three left-handed kids and me) and our third lab, Wally II. He didn’t mind at all! :-)
