I get frustrated with how the US is spending millions of dollars that make the military industrial complex richer. The system always works war profits but never healthcare or other basic human rights. It’s ridiculous.

I’m not Catholic, not even Christian. I don’t agree with everything Pope Francis says, but this humble man in all his imperfections, is a true Christian. Bless him. We need more imperfect humans who have intelligence and compassion to lead us through this crazy.

I can tell every Christian irrespective of ones denomination and also non-Christians that God Our Heavenly Father is very very sad. The devil is working to cause conflict but these are troubling times....faith...trust and deep love in Christ is important

This is like asking for peace in 1914. Each side would reject it over "land". When it's an endless war stalemate and there is no chance of getting back your land by military force (in case of Ukraine), you must negotiate to save lives. Would have been totally worth it in 1914, look at Europe now, there are no borders, everyone gets along. Might be the case with Ukraine and Russia one day.

A little too late for negotiating. The Ukrainian President, a novice, had already made a huge mistake of trusting NATO/US instead of managing Putin before the war. He was also adamant in showing Putin that he has two big bosses behind him, which further feed Putin’s paranoia. This is not about kowtowing to Putin, it’s also not as simple as good vs evil, it’s learning to manoeuvre in this complex and troubled world in the interest of your country and citizens.

Yes, Pootin must negotiate to get Russian troops safe passage OUT of the sovereign country of Ukraine that is not their country and whose civilians, including women and children, they killed and unfettered passage BACK to their mother Russia.
