I haven't been able to find a postcard show here in Portland for years. I finally saw one a couple of weeks ago, but it turned out to be a stamp show with one booth having postcards, and they decided to leave half way through the day so I only got to go through a few boxes. 😯 I did get a few nice cards, but I did better at a garage sale the week before. Oh well! I tried!
Your best bet might be going to this postcard club. facebook.com/WebfootersClub/ They'll have postcard for sale. Also, looks like that club puts on a show in September 10times.com/webfooters-post-card-club-show-and-sale
Eeek! You got me on camera! (Right before I said Hi to you) I think I bought just as many books and trade cards as postcards. I've been kicking myself about an auction lot that I bought where 20 of the good cards were repros. Somehow, I take comfort in the fact that it still happens to more experienced dealers ;-)
I miss this paper show every year. I just happened to be by the Fairgrounds this morning and on the marquee saw that the show is this weekend. I plan on going Saturday!
@@PopeyesPostcards I keep telling myself I don’t need anymore postcards but can’t resist if it’s my hometown Easton. I also have always just loved PAPER!
Great video. Question about scanning: how do you get the light green border around the card with the slight shadow line? Do you use a flat scanner or an autofeeding scanner and what software does the cropping? Thanks again
I released this video a week early for those in my channel membership. They get early access. Another one just went live for them today and will be made public next week. There are about 35 members only videos on my channel and I publish a new one for them every Wednesday which are deep dives into topics, bolo's, etc. Those will stay private for members. No pressure, but if interested, the link to join is in the description. It's $4.99 a month, cancel anytime.
BOLO it's originally cop talk. Stands for Be On the LookOut for (i.e. BOLO a red chevy truck with MD license plate #... last seen driving north). The reseller world has taken it over. I keep a list of postcards, that normally sell very well, that you should keep an eye out for and buy them if you ever find them at a show, flea market, antique mall, etc.
