Hey everyone -
Well, it took me 5 months to finish this project. I just couldn't find the time in there to work on it steady. But it's finished. I'm working up to making some bedroom furniture of Soft and Tiger Maple but figured I'd better make a test piece first. So I picked up some polar from the local hardware store and made this nightstand in the style of a Mission telephone stand. The only metal used is the knobs on the drawers. The frame is mortise and tenon construction, the top is attached with tapered sliding dovetails and the drawers are dovetailed. I did use a router to make some slots and a mortise machine for the 3/8 mortises thru the legs. All other joinery was cut by hand.
