Poplar?? This was one of the coolest looking logs I've ever cut!

I thought that both of these logs may be curly from the bumps present on the outside of the logs. The larger one was not quite as exciting as I thought it would be but the smaller log did not disappoint!
Both logs came from a neighbors yard just down the road.

Species of tree, please? Sorry, I didn’t hear you say, and it’s not in the description. I watch tons of sawyer vids. Just once I’d like to see one where the sawyer either makes a table top from, or sells / gives lumber to a furniture maker who makes something from the cut wood. For instance, center cut 3 or 4 boards from this log, show glue up, finish, and show final piece, such as a table top. Great vid, btw.

Thanks! The tree is a Poplar. Because poplar is pretty soft I plan on using this as drawer fronts on a dresser once the wood dries. I'll definitely make a video of that here in a year or two 😂

The mill is actually my Dad's but I asked him why he chose this one and he said because he trusts Timberking's quality and durability.
