Catnap may look terrifying, but that part of him in the hall turning his head of every direction you move is definitely from a nightmare.

One thing I haven’t seen a lot of people acknowledge is how powerful catnap is He can create illusions of himself, reshape his body, can run faster than any other enemy in game, survived being hit by a ridiculous amount of electricity while still being able to move etc When Ollie said catnap lives for the hunt, he definitely meant it cuz there’s no way he was actually trying this whole time

I love that this chapter used less of jumpscare and chasing horror and more of psychological horror

It would have been cool that if you disturb him while he's 'Praying' he immediately runs all the way to where the player is and instakills you, the intrusive thought of shooting him with the flare and him not reacting kinda kills the immersion

Out of every chapter, Chapter 3 is one of the most horrifying ones yet

7:55 It’s so sad how at the end when CatNap is burned, he submissively recoils from the prototype thinking that it wants to kill the player while shaking then gestures to himself as if to say “me?” then shows his devotion before being stabbed

Ok cat nap is officially the scariest villain in the game so far. But oddly enough seeing him walk around with his tail makes me wanna pet him, like I think it's just my brain going "cat, creepy cat but cat none the less"

Finally someone who gets a detailed look at the shrine! Everyone just spins around it once and then ends. I could also see that CatNap foretells his own demise of 1006 as the catnap plushie literally has a pipe going through his head.

Who… Who designed this thing It’s not a monster it’s a menace, I’ve never shit my pants in my life but this creature made me transform into a Chernobyl nuclear blast with how freaky those scares are.

Ok, but can we talk about the way bunzo has a seizure and CatNap slides like butter on a pan towards him 💀

The fact that they intentionally or not making catnap keep staring at you at any direction even with the debugged camera is INSANELY GENIUS. It breaks the fourth wall to players and made it a literally “real” catnap who is described to make you dream in an unreal world that you might not be able to notice until the dream gives you signs of weird, unrealistic moments. WHICH come to think of it, it’s exactly like these moments 3:27 or 5:43 that it keeps staring at you when it’s not supposed to.

I bet catnap's head following the camera implies the developers knew someone would break the camera out of bounds

The fact that we learn that Theodore gamble was electrocuted and turned into catnap was a great idea to defeat him by using the very cause of his death since the red smoke is flammable

I like how even though you are barely supposed to see him, CatNap is just standing there looking at your camera like: “Nice view” 3:18

I can't just accept the idea that all toys (or most of them) are children. It really gives me chills. Children that kill each other so brutaly and do something unimaginable in a frightening way. Everytime I see any toys in this game I start to remember that they're not just alive toys or monsters from the beginning, but kids who could think and feel

Catnaps emaciated body, especially his hipbones are just top tier creepy uncanny valley. They really outdid themselves this time around. No matter how freaky Catnap was, its impossible not to feel sympathetic at the end. I wish we got to see more of him. What a BANGER of a chapter 👏

Mad props to who designed Catnap. It's genuinely amazing just how unnerving he is.

There is one more secret at the haunted house. There is a cracked open door in the hallway, and if you peek through the cracks you can see catnap's glowing eyes stare at you before he slowly backs away into the darkness.

Not much people talk about itt but when Ollie talked about CatNap's shrine "If you thought that was terrifying, wait until you see the real thing." gave me goosebumps and made me so hyped to see it finally.

So is there like multiple Mommy longlegs? Since there is a dead body of her in the shrine with her legs and both arms just hanging on the shrine.

0:54 Since this is a shrine to Prototype 1006, since the Toys are placed in specific spots, this has to be where it's interpreted the toys to have been fused on the Prototype isnt it

0:47 so this could be a reference of exp. 1006. It's composed skeletal parts same as his right arm. Also the right hand of the monument reasembles how his right arm looks like. Theres a catnap plushie at the shoulder of the monument meaning hes willing to be part of 1006. (At the end of the game there is a reference of a famous painting "The Creation of Adan") Catnap accepted his fate to be part of 1006

I love that they used that classic eye trick to make it look like the eyes constantly move no matter what, it’s just a really smart move

I really do hope they explain who the player actually is because if he actually worked there then how did he escape the hour of joy and if he’d known about it then why go back? Watching the tape and seeing all those dead bodies seems like no one survived that onslaught

4:45 Knowing a kid named “Theodore” is the person behind the mask. I think the sounds of Catnap’s cardboard cutout are breathing of a literal child on life support. Remember the reason why Catnap views the Prototype as his god is because after little Theodore went from being electrocuted, the prototype saved him and took him back to playcare for the staff to save his life too.

That pale, emaciated, stretched out version of catnap in the final boss fight is so much freakier than the usual model. I really wish the devs had used that for a kill screen.

May (subjectively) be the best horror entity that came out in a long time. Was not a fan of the first two games, but this one shines in comparison. Catnap’s design is definitely S+

I love it so much that even if you do this, the character is following you with it's eyes/face. Miss Delight's eyes were the scariest for me ,when I started to watch videos like this of the game.

He has a couple scenes where his tail goes up to the ceiling and when he watches you from the vents that are missing here, but I really appreciate being able to see these in different angles! Especially the close-ups of the shrine, stunningly ominous

What makes it so confusing is why the plushies are sentient and how they became hostile in the first place. Yet it obviously has something to do with the prototype, yet in the tape we see huggy, catnap, mommy long legs (she's hard to spot but her arms are grabbing people) and boxy boo attacking people and no other creatures, so this must've effected every experiment, but if they were never sentient were they always hostile? Well no, look at kissy missy, she's sentient yet isn't hostile like huggy. In chapter one huggy dies, chapter two Mrs long legs is gone, and then catnap is gone for good including the teacher ms delight. But we do see boxy boo in the shrine, meaning he possibly could've been killed by catnap, meaning that not all monsters are allies, some kill for fun and try and kill the most people, yet they get in each other's ways and so kill each other if hostile. Meaning what their humanity and personality was what depends on how they act, not to mention what toy they're based off.
