I don’t know about you guys, but the part where the mini critters crawl into Dogday alive was pretty disturbing, but that is what makes the game good, as it is supposed to be unsettling
2:17 I love the detail with the lighting there, right as when Kissy almost attacked you the lighting makes it look like it’s Huggy Wuggy attacking you (the shadows even hid her eyelashes) when but when Poppy shows up the lighting changes to Kissy’s normal pink light signifying that she’s not a threat.
Dude holy crap the chasing scenes in this game are so spot on. They have always done a great job at making you believe you are in more danger than what you actually are. You can tell the monsters slow down if you do, but a casual player wouldnt notice that on a regular run.

@@lorettahale1252I don't know whether it's true or not.. but my thoughts on why he looks skinless (referencing a Sphinx Cat which is a neat detail) might be because of it literally exhaling all of that Sleep Inducing Gas out of his systems.. it'd make sense considering how much it rapidly spread in this section.
Just realized Mommy foreshadowed Dogday's death. "Obey the rules or I'll tear you apart and eat your insides while you're still alive." Dogday didn't listen to the Prototype so Catnap tore his legs off and let everyone who did listen feast on him. You see the the mini critters eating his guts/insides while he's still alive.
28:29 there you can see that catnap was literally just a poor kid with a confused mind. He doesn't know that the gas would be flammable and then when the prototype shows up, he becomes scared like a little kid, Also when the prototype extends his hand to him, he trusts him because he is naive and innocent. All he did was get revenge on those who abused him and then do everything the prototype said, because in his mind the experiment was his GOD it saved his life after all.
@@rennox_warzone Catnap worshipped the Prototype because it saved him once. I believe at that time, when the Prototype pulled out his hand (especially that kind of handsign), Catnap thought he would be saved again. After all he is a child, I don't think he knows to accept death.
same, that was the part i was most excited for ollie talking about hiding spots and killing you when you're most vulnerable, just for him to not show up at all aside from scripted sequences
I guess that's Catnap's joke, as Ollie says on the phone, CatNap is a hunter, a hunter and even more so when it comes to a cat, he prefers to attack when the prey is vulnerable, like when he takes off our mask, it was unexpected and He attacked us at his time, he doesn't need to have scares or be frequent to be a good character who attacks first with his resources, so when things get difficult, act with everything he has in his clutches
I hope chapter 4 has this EXACT energy. The long but amazing quest, the backstory to chase transition, everything! The quality of this chapter made the wait worth it!
I just realized that the transformation that catnap had at the end was the same monster that the kid saw in her nightmare from the VHS tape, and tbh, I would be scared shitless if I saw that in my dream as well
@@Kruegernator123 mate EVERYTHING about her is unsettling, she is more terrifying than catnap, which brings me to my theory of the fact they made catnap nightmare fuel at the end part right before he dies because he didn’t look scary enough unlike miss delight 💀
Catnap's fight reminds me more of the Ennard fight from Sister Location personally. But yeah, there's even a dwindling power mechanic in you having access to less batteries as the timer goes down.
I noticed that each villain, Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs, and now CatNap in their regular mascot forms, the ones shown in trailers, are not really that creepy, but they saved the demonic and twisted forms of the villains for the final chase sequences in the games, and they look horrifying
I love how they putted cat nap to just accept his fate wish shows that he knows what the prototype does to the ones that get defeated by the player and a also love how the made the gas effect work making allucinations (with the huggy wuggy thing) and cat nap in the end turning into a more creepy version of him self

I literally started crying at the ending because when I heard kissy start screaming I knew she got attacked by the prototype and started crying and swearing and I'm still crying 😭😭😭
I feel like those hands that are clawing catnap on the inside could be children who accidentally breathed in the gas when they were asleep at home, or it could be Theodore trying to get out. 😊
I dont know if im the only one who noticed this but when you into any perspective form to see catnap's more scary form, when you look at his stomach you can see hand formations form inside of his stomach- BUT I dont know if thats just me :3, just thought that was a cool little thing they added! I also love how they made this chapter more bloody/gory, maybe that'll keep the kids from ruining this chapter, AGAIN XD. Also, who else was sad over DogDay, bro seemed so nice too :[
the Mini Smiling Critters are just the Mini Huggies, Except they hesitate for a moment before attacking unlike the huggies who will gladly snap your neck if you don't hit them in time
Feel like a scary moment for me and found it so eerie is when Ollie says “you need to run” and it’s so quiet and you turn around and see catnap just there stalking you through the door. Just toying with you a bit more…
I think catnap offered itself as a sacrifice, that’s how I saw it at least, maybe catnap knew the player was gonna defeat it and decided to be killed by prototype instead since it basically worshipped the prototype
Because it's not a beast form, it's simply what the player sees without the gas mask, a hallucination. When catnap attacks the player, the player regains consciousness and sees his true form.
Well, why would dogday be the only one possessed by the mini smilling critters? Maybe the other critters are tied up the same way as dog day and dog day saw they getting their legs or something getting ripped off so he assumed they died. (This is just a idiot theory of mine lol) So maybe the smilling critters are alive but they're going to be possessed or are possessed already.

So i counted what seven cells where dogday was? one for each of the big smiling critters, excluding Catnap.. no I should say That THING that is referred to as Catnap.
The VHS explained catnap’s form when you encounter him when you’re about to go put the blue battery in. Marie saw something colorless and it could’ve been that she saw.
23:36 when we see catnap just standing there and we get a good look at his full body, i see handprints in his stomach. like there hands pressing up against the inside of catnaps stomach. like theodore is trying to tell the player that hes stuck inside of catnap or maybe even another child is stuck inside catnap. 24:03 we can see a face pressing up against inside catnaps stomach just like with the hands. idk if maybe those are just bones, or if there is an actual person(s) inside of catnap.
The 2nd version isn’t real…. It’s a hallucination from the gas. You’d think, “oh if I just put on the mask I’d see normal catnap”. But after he tackles you at an earlier area he steals your mask
Huggy kill ppl inside the exhibit area,mommy kills ppl inside the game station and catnap in charge of collecting dead bodies inside the playcare area during the massacar and all those innocent ppl corspes were drag down into the prototype worship area and become food for all living toys in 10 years but that amount of bodies cant sustain for over 10 years and so they began to fed on each other,u can see throughout the game we see small toy dead bodies everywhere in the factory and once all the small toy are done,they have no more food to sustain and we can see catnap ribs and spine exposed
