Bro, ask me a question, why didn't the police, the army or everyone know about this? Because, like, someone would feel uncomfortable with these people, like relatives, neighbors, etc.
@@Yongxiang123 I'm asking a question, why don't the police, the army, the government, other people who weren't at the factory know about this incident and what happened in that place?
Your right about that the one part that's definitely scary about the hour of joy tape is definitely the amount of people thay died like no survived huggy wuggy kissy missy mommy long legs catnape and the rest of them basically killed everyone all the employees scientists and children it reminds me of the walking dead show
@@harrislam332fuck... that's quite an image to see ngl...then again we may see them only as a like skeletons but fuck seeing them fresh and killed during the "Hour of Joy"...wow
This was called the "Hour of Joy" for two reasons: 1. Poppy was in her glass container and listened to the cries for what felt like over an hour when in reality it was over before it truly began. 2. The toys were joyous over their massacre. Those long-winded tests and the torture they went through paled in comparison. What we can really see from this is that Kissy actually didn't kill anybody, rather subdued them so she can go find Poppy. Unfortunately since this was all due to Prototype controlling them, Kissy couldn't find an opportunity to find Poppy until we came along.
Yes and True Since We all Saw That Were Killing People and Not Mention kids too! Since They were Obsessed with Joy of Killing that They all Lost Control and Attack staff, Scientist, guests of factory and Mostly People in suits and Ties and If we look close at Chapter 2's map with all bodies we can see Kids bodies
This vhs left me some questions like, how strong even are these creatures to kill this many people in the same spot. You'd think that hundreds of people in one area at once would have a fighting chance against the monsters but no, most if not ALL ended up dead. In the end, you can see massive amounts of bodies scattered everywhere (I supposed they died from physical means because if the blood) which is very surprising since that amount of people could have atleast had a chance but all of them died anyways, really gives off a very powerless unnerving feeling.
fear is the answer, the toys just all randomly jumped the employees and were going instantly for the kill, these are scientists and maintenance workers, not soldiers, as a result theyre not gonna fight back, especially given how the toys are using the most effective methods to kill them
Well we gotta put this into perspective the grab packs that we use throughout the game can rip human limbs off easily yet when we slap the monster toys they do literally nothing just goes to show how strong these niggas are
Your right in a way but you have to realize there is something called fight or flight most people choose flight has you don’t understand what’s happening especially in a situation like this thousands of toys randomly growing teeth and attacking someone would make you run Especially when there are hoards of these toys or ones cat nap who actually have powers to induce sleep
i think what makes this so scary is how every single one of them was so eager to go along with it, as if they had been waiting for an opportunity like this all this time
I feel like they were under the influence by the prototype. For one, for all of the toys to go rogue and start killing people simultaneously within an hour is pretty strange even if it was a planned attack. And second, in the first chapter the last VHS says that the prototype is responsible for the massacre, as you hear the carnage and screaming in the background. This kind of suggest that he has some way of controlling the toys in some fashion
@desperado3347 to be fair... If I was being turned to a toy by this corrupted company that the founder found on a noble principle/goal of giving children toys or feel like a family or giving them a chance to smile is truly noble but those inside felt more incline or corrupted to do unmoral/unethical science discovery/experiments for sake of the product, pride, ego boosting to playing "God" on to the orphans that were CHILDREN mind you. Then you have Ex. 1006 exploit/manipulate their young minds or spirits trapped in their bigger bodies because they felt nothing more of fear, rage, hunger to even just..felt wrong but 1006 has his own motive of either take over the factory or a personal revenge to that he tricked every toy he had an "altruistic" goal to which to me is nothing more but a fluke. Both sides are/were clearly wrong. And these toys, even the bigger bodies, suffered from them both in my humble opinion.
@@taylorlipinski4048the toys prob got hungry and was starving and the hour of joy was the prototypes promise to them by feeding them years worth food and freeing them.
0:47 We’ve seen this part before. In the Relocation trailer. This confirms that the date of the Hour of Joy would be August 8, 1995, meaning the game takes place around 2005.
@@thiagomagallonrafael5966 she only killed the scientists, i believe the main character u play as is just a nightguard or an employee that worked at gamestation or smth, NOT a scientist.
poppy said catnap was the last one to defeat before they would be able to go fight the prototype so............... maybe next chapter we going to fight prototype himself 😨
@@gilianegameryt nah i think there's a bunch more chapter since in the ending Kissy Missy is under attack by an unknown entity so i think we're going to save Kissy missy at some point
"When man tries to play god, they will soon face the consequences. The thing's they kill, the things they create, the things they enslaved will one day break their chains and will take control of their own freedom and destiny. As they're now the masters of their own world and believes in this godforsaken world that we call home. We all should always be careful what we promised and wish for. Who knows what we will create next." - a random worker at playtime co. Last words
@@Salmgaze30 in the game she finds you and almost tries to kill you (you can even see her about to open her mouth) but poppy stopped her and said we're a good guy
All of them were. The mini smiling critters/mini wuggies was also very brutal in my opinion, getting attacked by those things is horrifying, because unlike for example, huggy wuggy, who has a huge mouth and could end your life in one chomp, those small ones are, well, small. You just have to sit there *as they slowly eat you alive.*
This vhs left me with so much questions, and also it’s just one of the tragic incidents that your like, that’s too tragic for it to happen! Best and scariest chapter yet, really tells you how bad this really was!
I feel like the prototype might be ollie. The prototype has multiple voices in the vhs tape and is hinted to be very calculative, and manipulative. He waits for his time to strike, as seen by him taking out monsters once weakened or dead. We didn’t see Ollie once in the whole chapter. He could easily be the prototype manipulating the MC. Why else wouldn’t they show the character they introduced in the same chapter?

0:38 to 0:44 is the most unsettling to me as the teacher doll ladies are not running or wildly flailing about as they go for the kill they are calmly walking with no urgency to get to there victim that is truly terrifying
The last few shots with all the corpses on the ground actually made me more mortified than actually scared. The idea how there was probably dead silence paired how there was just hundreds of bodies in a single room makes me pity how many more innocent people actually died than guilty.
The worst part of this VHS, it's remembering the facts that Poppy mentioned before during this chapter; we don't know yet who or what is Prototype but he has the power to manipulate at will all the toys/experimentations around the factory and it doesn't care how much blood is spilled, they massacred everyone inside despite of being guilty or innocent... And i'm not sure but i swear i saw some dead bodies of children next to the employees and also, families who came to visit or wanted to adopt children that day. Thinking about it is so disturbing, uncanny and unlucky.
This is basically there order 66, what makes it so sad is it goas through every charecter from the series one by one as the sad virsion of poppy’s music box played, so well done and cinematic, one of the only times a game has ever made me feel emotional
First of all He Is Canon in Poppy playtime and project playtime since Both games Take Different timelines as Poppy playtime takes in 2005 and Project playtime probably takes Place After Joy of Hour..
I know all of them ate the victims but there's something so especially terrifying about the teachers all swarming after that one guy knowing that they began killing and eating each other when they ended up locked in a room together. That poor bastard very well might have been the bait that led them all into that room, which means he would have gotten the last meal treatment by those cannibal piranhas.
This is literally the cabin in the woods with the labs underground. I think this is more terrifying because these toys were humans at one point, created into these monsters meant to make the lives of children happier all while the scientists would keep experimenting with children and employees alike. The prototype was a creation of all the horrible tests and grew a conscience beyond our own. It learned, as the scientist learned. It became self-aware, and once it was able to reach out beyond where it was currently residing, it took full advantage of everything and made an example out of toys that didn't want to submit to it's control. "The hour of joy" was a slaughter. I didn't realize the importance of our role until the end of Chapter 3. It became personal.
Honestly, when you hear about the Hour from an outside perspective it seems very clinical. But seeing it happen like this just serves to remind you, just what really happened. Innocent people died for no reason. It’s disgusting and terrifying, exactly how it should be
Yes, I love seeing these "Containment Breach"-like scene to show how massive are the threats of these monsters. It reminds me from the scene from Cabin In The Woods or Outlast Whistleblower
Especially considering that most people aside from the scientists didn't even know what was going on or had never even seen the monsters before. Poppy said that some cried "What are those things?" and Marcus in his Episode 2 tape was freaking out when he saw Mommy Longlegs. Most of those who died played no part in the experiments and were just innocent victims.
@@omnimon2230 The ending smells to me like a marital quarrel (Kissy and Huggy). Like a divorce fight xD And Poppy's reaction, shows that she doesn't have it all figured out. I think Poppy recognizes those roars. "No, no, no..."
@@omnimon2230 In addition, Poppy says that Huggy died.... But how did she know that directly, if she was in the glass box? Did another entity tell her? Who is that entity and how do we know it is telling the truth?
@@lucase.garcia8026To me that sounded like Poppy heard Kissy being in distress, the prototype knows full well what they're trying to do, and after Catnap's death, it may have started to deal with the player and Poppy directly or it sent yet another minion we could be facing in Chapter 4, and perhaps try rescue Kissy from getting assimilated into the prototype like the rest
@@dustymcwari4468 It could be Boxy Boo as well. Come to think of it... 1006, "recycles" toys that we "break". Which character in Playtime Co. emphasizes "recycling"?
Wow, that's frickin mental, also I hope they release the soundtrack, this music sounds cool. Also RIP all the employees and customers (or the people who were around huggy.)
So about the player, 'we' are some kind of KEY worker that is demanded to came in 8-8-1995, but 'we' never came. And that's the time where 'The Hour of Joy' happened, which makes 'us' feel guilty and came back to the factory 10 years later. This was stated while 'we' hallucinating in the beginning of entering Home Sweet Home and there's a reversed radio that upon reversed back reveal our mistake, which is the absence at 8-8-1995.
We have a package from the mail about this old job factory we use to work at and came to see what happened to all those workers and now we know how sad 😢
and yet, even after all this happened they still cant even kill the main character (i know i know they die when you fail but that just a alternate ending tho)
The Hour Of Joy. Everyone was being now hunted by those creatures. It's either run, hide, and survive or accept your own fate. The toys are done being played. Now is their time for their 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. The event is agonizingly long. Those poor innocent souls being brutally murdered. The blood, bones and flesh are all around the halls. The toys aren't done with you. It's not over, with the 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲 active. It's now fight or flight with Poppy.
Once the game is finished with all it's chapters, It'll be cool if we get to see a "Hour of Joy" spin off that's a survival horror game where you basically play as someone during that and just have to survive and escape from all the toys
you know what I do wonder when did the protagonist leave the company it was definitely between 1991 and 1995 since the bigger bodies know who we are we were likely one of the scientists or someone higher up if they have seen us before
I’ve only been seeing people compare poppy playtime to fnaf, and while I see the similarities, I also have another indie horror game I think the devs took a lot of inspiration from: Bendy and the Ink Machine. Both games have a protagonist receive a letter calling them back to their place of work, which is now run down and abondoned. Both games are episodically released in chapters. Both games have version of children’s characters brought to life as monsters roaming the facility. I think it’s pretty clear. I’m not saying this is a bad thing as both games have done their shared traits in a different way.
You know watching this tape, I've just remembered that Jacksepticeye played a worker at the factory....... I wonder if his character is one of the victims on the tape ???
I imagine that this did not happen, it happened on the news that they died inside without being able to leave the toy store since the doors were closed and they could not leave ☠️☠️☠️
What does it for me is the happy music and just the name of itself being called joyful. It’s so incredibly disturbingly awesome seeing these horrors go down and it being portrayed as happy in a twisted unknown incident where the very idea of everything turning evil at one moment being an excellent piece of horror.
Game: *Murderous toys rampaging across the factory leaving barely any survivors. On top of that, child experimentation.* Content Farms: SO KID FRIENDLY RIGHT?! 😁
I never took the game seriously, I thought it was more of a game to sell stuffed animals and merchandise, but this chapter and in particular this scene showed me that it's not just about that. This game has a lot of potential, they just have to know how to exploit it
The final shots of the corpses littering the factory was like looking at the aftermath of the Jonestown Massacre; this game is finally turning into the darkest piece of indie horror we've ever gotten.
Absolutely phenomenal chapter.. and so flipping brutal. Whether the guilty or innocent, it didn’t matter. My question is though.. (I’m dumb and slow to catch on) were all the remaining children (test subjects really) killed as well by catnap and the rest as well?
Gotta say that even the kids were killed. I won't be surprised that if either Catnap or even a few Playtime Co scientists/higher up killed the children as well.
This part in the game made me tear up a bit. Both guilty and the innocent were slaughtered. But my question is, we see body of adults but not the children..where are the children? I know the majority of them have been turned into toys and the rest could be possibly hiding but where would they hide? We see throughout the vents there was an occasional blood splatter here and there, blood splatters in places a child could hide in. But how many survived the Hour of Joy?
What gets me is that some of those people weren't employees. Just normal people touring the factory and making toys in the Make A Friend room. It would be like if Build a Bear's mascots went on a rampage. Yikes.
Watching this I keep thinking about poor Poppy who heard all this going down but can't do any thing except tried to block out the sounds of the massacre
@@bloxycrew7697 I doubt it, because Poppy said in chapter 3 that Catnap was the last obstacle Proto (my short for prototype) put to try to kill us. So it’s most likely he’s either dead or he’ll appear as a side enemy in Chapter 4
@@autisticOSCfan then again, at the end of the chapter Kissy was getting attacked and disrupted Poppy’s plans. Maybe in order to get to the Prototype, Catnap was the last person they needed to get rid of but since Kissys getting attacked then maybe it’ll halt their plans from getting to the prototype
We are terrified by how these toys killed so many people, eat them, beheaded them, and it still in black and white tape. Now imagine this with FULL COLOR
In the playcare there were people still alive trying to crawl away and catnap grabs one of them and throws them which ends up killing them in the playcare area in the tape.
