Yeah! I was thinking that too.. I'm new to Poppy, from seeing her metal stuff. Her music is very versatile/changing. With the backing band, are these hired touring guns for her provided from Sumerian? The drummer threw a great live groove to this song.
Check out Blame Candy...specifically, their song/video Pathetic. These mega talented dudes (minus the lead singer Chris Greatti, who is the mastermind for MANY of Poppy's songs) are the ones behind the masks and wigs in this show. Poppy called them the Icky Babies. Love this band!
Once upon a time Poppy had a bassist. I haven't seen one on her tours in years, early 2019 I believe. How do you not have a bass player? Canned music I guess, much like her vocals, allegedly.
I’m still confused on her transition from pop music to metal. I was expecting her next album to be a dark pop album similar to what she put out on voicemail but I was wrong....
@gabe : Thanks for posting this. This one has even better sound quality than the other I commented on. But I've been going through all of them and while this one does have some distortion, it's not bad. But Most of them have a lot of clipping, so I am wondering if the volume was raised on the others too high, or is that how they sound regardless? If the volume was set higher on the others, that would be what is causing the clipping, and maybe you could repost them? Sorry for even asking, but I've only found this and one of your other videos to be listenable out of all the other ones other people have posted (I've spent the last 2 hours searching too). Regardless, thanks again for posting them, my musician/recording-engineer ears especially thank you.
