These lyrics are fantastic. Shame more people don’t pay attention to that because along with her imagery and obvious singing talent, Poppy’s music has a deeper darker meaning that most pop does not. Glad she’s gone the metal route though. Maybe she’ll be more appreciated by fans of that genre.

@@ElijahSinclair1220 True. I mean, the nature of her music is to sound kinda robotic and electric. But to be honest, she's a great singer and she can sing some of the songs well without lipsycning.
I'm pretty sure the playback/backing track is usually just way too loud, rather than lip syncing per se... That's just more of a live sound issue that they'd have to work out while touring at many smaller venues where it would be hard to sound check. Just my guess
She did remarkably well given that the lyric during the verses is a pretty low register. She's got such a high voice that it must be pretty tricky for her to do. I've heard way worse from some supposed luminaries of the music world. It's weird; I'm 50, and I thought I was done with charted music... I've been following this for a while, and honestly it's the most inventive stuff I've heard in years :) Bravo Poppy! Happy to get on the bus to hell with you :)

I don't know if the real woman (Moriah) is satanic (i kind of don't think so - seen her with crosses and I love Jesus t-shirts & stuff), but this outfit and the performance is part of the Poppy character, which is a mockery and critique of fame, pop culture, Hollywood, social media, etc. She and her collaborator back then intentionally used satanic and illuminati symbols, because the Poppy project is basically calling out their existence in the lives of celebrities, in Hollywood - allegedly, I guess.
