nah as a Carti fan, no way we hate your dad. dude has an open mind and much fresher perspective that is rare across the platform of reactions. at the end of the day, hate or love it, carti has built a cult like fan base around not conforming to mainstream and it deserves respect

cartis been on a steady trajectory, his first album self titled blew him up in the underground then die lit was highly anticipated and gave him half his fanbase then WLR was one of the most anticipated albums this decade so far and that gave him the other half of his fanbase. He makes so many different types of music that all his fans want him to make different types more if that makes sense
Yo josh you gots to listen to playboy Cartis self titled album. That’s the rise and how he formed his sound. That’s the point he mastered his sound. 2017. Please react I been waiting for y’all to react for mad longgg.
Just started watching you guys…love seeing pops reactions, anyways you guys have to check out coast contra please!!!!! Would love to see your dads take on them and really they got tracks after tracks. They just released a ep album but they mostly have freestyles online right now…but all 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 speechless, the realest, full clip, fu gee la, scenario, give up the goods, breath and stop (your pops should recognize that beat) the enemy, disruptive, contradictions, cosmic kev freestyle!!!!! Would love to see those reactions. They have blown up the past couple years
I cant wait till pops hear Cash Carti Era Carti Just himself thats what we miss in the Industry is originality and inspiration from what got you into music instead putting yourself into box
Pops really understands creativity and that carti was trying to start something new something fresh to attract as many ppl as possible and he definitely succeeded and pops nobody hates you if you don’t like some of his songs it’s okay we love your reviews and we carti fans appreciate honesty not hating these is 2 different things.. we really need that part 2 love y’all man
he was already mainstream by late 2017, this album def brought him to another level though, die lit is his second album or the nerds gonna say his first since playboi carti is technically a mixtape, that projects a more chill vibe before carti was on his rockstar shit although he always has been in a sense.
I think his music connects a lot more when you see the live performances where they changed the songs with bass guitars ext.. defo an experience seeing him live, i think rolling loud 2023 cali on youtube is worth watching
No other performance will ever match RL NYC when it was raining I was there and the rain started right before carti came on it honestly made it feel like I was in one of those movie scenes I don’t think it can be topped
@@powerphase1bro really think rain and aesthetic topping cali 23 bruh y’all meat riders 🤣🤣cali was so insane they stopped the show 3 songs in because of crowd crushing and carti came back 30 minutes later after saying he couldn’t come back. You will never see carti more serious on a set than Cali 23, his first headliner and he didn’t disappoint. New York bro just freeballed it, cali was an actual artistic set. Plus ending with location? Yeah lil bro you trippin
I like how your dad mentioned punk rock because that is definitely a big inspiration for this project. the cover is actually even inspired by an old punk magazine cover from slash magazine
your pops was too right when he got cut off about “artists” being different from musicians or “rappers”. the main comp i think of is Westside Gunn vs him. Carti makes vibe music through an artistic standpoint where Gunn will choose his beats artistically, and chooses to really rap on them
Love pops mane. He doesn’t try to define the different music about it, but shares the thoughts he gets. While also showing vulnerbility due to the fact he admits when hes wrong / or josh is right. He allows me to see music from a different vision, when he shares his thoughts through these reactions
Love this reaction, pops really understands music and has such interesting things to say about everything. AND everything he's saying without knowing anything about carti totally matches up, his fans are cult'ish, the sound being "gothic", it being made for live performances and stuff that's crazy honestly
PLEASE HAVE YOUR DAD REACT TO THE CARTI ROLLING LOUD CONCERTS ❗️ the CALI 2023 one specifically. It will only make his experience of Carti’s discography better.
carti started getting big in 2015 when broke boi and fetti dropped. his real blow up was in 2017 when magnolia and his self-titled mixtape were released hes been going up ever since. whole lotta red is definitely his biggest project by far, tho
