Released in 1974, the album "Wheelin' and Dealin'" was a bit of a departure from the classic funk sound that Popsie was known for.
On this album, Popsie incorporated a significant rock & roll presence after spending time with good friend Frank Zappa in Frank's famous "Vault".
Well known for blending rock & roll with his own eclectic style, Frank commented that Popsie could diversify his catalog considerably by simply adding electric guitar compositions to his signature "Jazz Funk" style.
The result was a funk sound that combined bass, horn, sax and synthesizer with the clean electric guitar sounds found in 70's rock.

@@ProfessorGast I ALMOST didn't use that line. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it and I laughed my ass off when I played it back the first time... buuttt... I'm a stickler for conceptual continuity and Ghostbusters didn't come out until 1984. In theory, I could have just put it on one of the albums post 1984, but I also absolutely knew I wanted this song on the 1974 Wheelin' and Dealin' album. If you take the time to notice, each album is kind of a genre unto itself and I keep things organized that way. I also consider Wheelin' and Dealin' to be one of my best albums, so I only release what I feel are excellent songs on that album. Anywaayyy... I wasn't going to drop that line and I wasn't going to put that song on a different album, so I just broke continuity and added a note at the end of the description. 😂

@@robertball7762 in the OH/KY/WV tri-state area, we had a few rare opportunities to catch aurora borealis this year. Very rare for that to be visible this far south.
