Nadine probably felt it because she did the exact same thing on Irish popstars and got into the band and then got herself caught before she auditioned for this popstars
There was like at least 3 over age scandals in popstars (if you include Nadine Coyle lying about her age on Irish popstars before she was on this one). It was him and one of the other girls and Nadine. Who am I missing?
@@NurulDysson Well they were-One True Voice, but then peple started leaving anyway lol The he joined Phixx that were even more successful in UK and in other countries!
I remember watching this live. I was randomly zapping through the channels and the popstars was like the best of the worst that night. I wasn't even paying attention really but I really woke up when he came clean about his age.
Watched this during my pregnancy 17 yrs ago absolutely loved Peter's honesty. Wishing you well in what ever you have chosen to do with your life hopefully still into music. God bless beautiful souled honest Man xxxxxx
He had nothing to lose. He would’ve been found out. He scammed his way on the show therefore leaving some wanna be “star” without a place on this show. Thanking Peter for this is like praising Philip Schofield for coming out gay, while he lied and cheated on his wife for almost two decades...... Well maybe not. What Philip Schofield did was far worse and the dumb public soaked it up. I came here looking for the old band ‘heresay’. I don’t know if it was this one where they were formed but anyway, when this first come out, I literally had about 10 different people who didn’t know each other come up to me and say you look like Noel. I see that Noel today and I’m very glad I didn’t age like him. I hope your’ child is happy
He was sooooooo fit and his accent is to die for. I had a top like davinas back in the day. Loved those tops but then back then I was thin enough to wear one like that.
LOL... 2 months too old... that's the scandal???? LOOOOOL.... Obviously staged as heck. The way the camera quickly cut to him etc... the staging, they knew this was going to happen
Well, they shouldn’t. They can’t keep changing the rules whenever they feel like it. One year they changed the rules of the semi-final in x-factor by having a bottom two when there usually isn’t a bottom two. Usually the judges power to save a contestant is taken away from them in the X-Factor semi-final. But in 2010 this was not the case with Cher Lloyd and Mary Byrne and the judges sent Mary home. I heard on the radio the next day that Mary wasn’t told there was gonna be a bottom two in the semi-final. In my book that’s a total fix. It’s rigging the competition. This is why I don’t watch reality TV anymore. Peter is an honest man. These shows are not a level-playing field.
Your right I was baffled by the boys though they were in a way better singers than the girls except for nadine but awful songs when the final boys were chosen. He probably guessed the girls were going to win but still he did fib like nadine did! I
I don't get how the producers could overlook someone that was two months too old after completing background checks when they had already dropped Hazel from the final 10 girls before the live shows for being ten days too old allowing Kimberley to re-enter the competition. Something tells me he wasn't as honest or decent as he's making out. Notice how he dodged when Davina asked him the question about ID checks. He obviously managed to deceive someone somehow.
Louis looks very uncaring I remember watching this feeling choked up he a lovely guy, Nadine lied about her age though so best he was honest now. This is an old show but fun to watch. Poor Peter!
If I was Louis, I'd be annoyed too. One of the final 10 girls Hazel had to be dropped from the final ten before the live shows because she was ten days too old. So they had to bring one of the eliminated girls back into the process. That girl was Kimberley. So yeah to see this happen in front of his eyes, I don't really blame him.
@@aussieapril I know it's Louis wanting to say excuse me but it serves him right for lying I'm not bothered haha. But yeah you don't get to go on TV lie and expect sympathy votes lol.
But why be so strict in the first place on the age limit if you want to widen the pool of talent? And why weren’t contestants required to verify their identity at the outset?
