True talk. But that does not mean that, we are not entitled to rejoice for God’s blessings over our lives. As a child of God all the blessings are for us. She’s is happy for what the lord has done for her and I don’t think it is a sin to do that. It is true that all this things are not the password to heaven and at the same time, God almighty wants us to be blessed. (So what shall it profit a man to gain the whole world ) true talk but does that means you don’t want to be blessed with good things of life? No of course if you are a child of God. It is your entitlement as a child of God. The only thing is that don’t let any blessings be between you and God but you deserve the best as his child of God. God is the source of all blessings, they shouldn't forget this. They've forgotten that there is no limit to God's blessings and they come in various forms. It could be marriage, childbirth, financial breakthrough, property ownership, academic excellence, career advancement, business breakthrough, healing, etc. are all blessings but one can be celebrated while another can not?. Marriages, graduation pictures, launching of new businesses, child dedication and all of that can be celebrated with videos displayed on social media to glorify God for his grace and goodness. If it comes to another success story, it is about vanity. Are the others not vanity? Yes, they are all earthly things including our own flesh. Even Jesus Christ allowed the woman with the alabasta box to pour her expensive oil on his feet. Do they want to tell us that Jesus took delight in earthly things? Insipid of vanities? What the Bible means by what shall it profit a man is, when someone acquires money or wealth or riches, or children or someone's husband or fake certificate, and any other possessions through evil means to satisfy the flesh. That person will lose his or her soul (automatically sold their soul to the devil). Many preachers even concern hard-working people with genuine blessings from God because they misinterpret this verse. In Liberia, most people don't even listen to this kind of preaching because it discourages the genuine pure hardworking folks who have been blessed by God. Turning the scriptures upside down to favor their stomachs and pockets Blessings in Christ is a good sign that shows the people around you that your God is alive, he is the source of your prosperity and victory. When he died on the cross he said, it's finished. Finished to poverty, barrenness shame, delay etc.
