Hey! You absolute wizards of Copperplate!!!! Would like to know who inspired you, what age you got started, practice regimen, years it took you to perfect your hand, and your favorite projects using this style over the years. I am still learning...... so deeply admire your expertise.
Hello, wonderful calligraphy lady. Your writing makes me feel so good. I read that you are using a Nikko G nib. I am also interested in the kind of papier and ink you are using to achieve such level of beauty. So before I go nuts and buy all sorts of nibs and such, on ebay, I would like to know more. Thanks
DINO IL CAGNOLINO For this piece I used a Brause Rose nib. The paper is a regular copy paper. You can get good materials from paperinkarts.com or johnnealbooks.com
Thank you Schin, all four videos are a treat to watch, as ever. The way the ink sits on the page and glistens makes this one particularly pretty. :) I'd love to know what you were using ... unless it's gouache, in which case I don't. Because mine doesn't look like that, at all.
OpenInkStand Art & Calligraphy Ah. People keep telling me about that, but it's rarely available here. In fact that goes for sumi in general unless it's Kuretake. Thanks for the tip off, I can see what the fuss is about.
OpenInkStand Art & Calligraphy Thanks again. I've never seen the vermillion sticks outside of calligraphy suppliers (and then very infrequently), but you're quite right about the black.
No matter how many of your vids I see, I always end up watching them with a stupid grin on my face. As always, your flourishing is excellent! I need more practice XD Also, troublesome nib, that. Haha, Rose?
Still love the nib, though it's a bit stressful to use at times. Anyway, here's to hoping you do another one of these eventually with a few different names thrown in *coughKevincough*. Haha, sorry for the bother. I'm just killing time on RU-vid at the moment.
Really need ur help.. What nib r u using on this? Like brand and numbr.. Im using speedball c6 and cant seem to the same result.. Pls help.. I really love ur work
OpenInkStand Art & Calligraphy thanks for ur reply.. I got Zebra G.. but my problem is, my nib seem to be not too flexible yet.. I bought it new.. Any drill to do to make it flexible.. Also, im using a cheap ink.. Probably the reason why the ink doesn't stay really long on the nib? I have to dip it many times even with just writin one name
Mary San Kenneth Cabañero I made a mistake, I think I was using a Brause Rose for this video. The Rose and Zebra should be flexible already. Make sure to get good ink, an improper ink will just run off the nib. Try sumi ink.

oh i find out that my ink is not thick enough so it hold just a little, now i'm use winsor newton ink, it very good and i love this ink so much, thanks a lot
lol what do you consider smooth paper? like photo paper or just regular printing paper? my nib keeps collecting paper particles on the tip and i think its because of the cheap nib and maybe crap paper not sure, any thoughts?
