'Perfect' people find it easy to condemn rather than show compassion. They have the 'it can't happen to me attitude', that's why they have no room for compassion. Addiction affects all.

Am not south.African but am East.African staying in joburg & I ounce physically met Bonga on campus square streets even I used to give him money to buy food but the truth is that this guy might be haunted by bad spirits or demons or his family ancestors aren't okay so pliz dont judge this guy coz I think he needs a spiritual healing from sangomas or pastors or bishops?
I may agree with you there, things maybe deeper than they seam.. people tend to disregard the implications of spiritual issues, especially the malevolent ones. I can tell you, he'll check himself out again given a second chance..

This is very true even when they first interviewed him he said he became an addict because of his abusive step dad etc. Never once saying he is the problem that raised serious red flags

He is mentioning lots of things that doesn't connect, what Sexuality, maladministration, the sooner the medication wears off the Body, the better the cleansing.
I think he should be given another chance. To go to rehab, if that door is still open. And also some counsell is needed, very very much. For him to understand the importance of rehab he needs to understand why he is taking (drugs, why they are bad for him and why he should stop) He already knows these factors but i feel like he is dealing with something inside and drugs have been his escape for a long time so it isn't easy. We have had people who came to rehab fivr times and went on to change their lives. Let's just give him a chance, trauma counselors are also needed. Bonga can and will change if he wants, it's not an easy road shame.
His faith in his god is what literally keeps him sane, motivated and purposeful, take that away from him what you think is gonna happen? I'm very skeptical about people who shove God's name in every sentence to try and reason. The rehab had rules (as it should) and he wasn't about that life. Oh, well🤷🏾♂️
Nyaope ND rock are truly a bad thing that's not easy to stop smoking. I know him from Berea where he buys his stuff he does smoke and smokers can tell you what you want to here as long as people still give him money on streets he will never be OK bcoz he has not reach a rock-bottom like others I wish for the best for him but shame the drugs he's consuming are devil himself I know for a fact that he's using them.
