If someone gets offended by hearing a different opinion, and on a topic like perfume... well they have some serious issues. You don't apologize for loving something that others might hate, so don't apologize for hating what other love.
Totally agree. I have a bad history with jasmine which smells divine on my grandmother's skin but on me like cat or dog pee, and cherry which makes me smell like an alcoholic. Somehow these two notes don't agree with my skin.
I agree with you about Libre - it smelled way too masculine for me. I'm probably one of the few, but I really don't like Shalimar. I smelled like I rubbed myself with gasoline soaked leather. That was an instant scrubber for me. And Flowerbomb, massive headache inducing =/
you're right, Shalimar dies have some camphor note to it, I don't like it either. The newer flankers like Souffle though are much more modern and refined.
Perfume is the expression of personality, people don't need to feel offended. You mantioned two of my favorite perfumes but who cares. I love how you describe the sent and sometimes I discover some good sent
Totally agree on Narciso , libre, all chanel , manifesto, scandal( kinda ok) , hypnotic poison. Others I just didn’t try. From other hyped perfumes I don’t like Burberry her, BR540, Cloud, Crystal Noire, l’interdite Nomad, most Tom Ford.
I can’t stand D&G Light Blue! I think it’s the most boring fragrance. It doesn’t excite me. It isn’t horrible, I just don’t see it as something I want for my skin. It smells like a linen spray. I’d maybe spray it on my sheets. 🤷🏻♀️
I feel the same about Narciso! Their musks have something that turns like BO on me. The older Burberry scents have some nicer musky scents, not the new My Burberry’s that starts again smelling like BO. And girlll I am with you on manifesto and Libre. Very mediocre white floral scents.I remember smelling Libre and thinking WHAT?? Manifesto was a blind buy I literally sold it the week I bought it. Soooo disappointing!
Libre smells like straight up A&W root beer on me. And Baccarat rouge 540 smells horrible on me! I was so excited to try that one but I hated the smell even in the bottle but sprayed it on anyway thinking the dry down would be better but it never changed. My husband hated that one too. Also you know that smell when you open a bag of dog food? That is exactly how Chloe smells on me 😅
Gabby, you and I have the same body alchemy and perfume nose/ preference (gourmands). You literally mentioned most of the scents that I’ve had and decluttered and for the exact same reason! I mean; Light Blue, Libre, Princess, Metallique, All of Mancera, Scandal etc. I agree with everything you mentioned. And because of this, I’m going to stay away from Casmir and Safanad. i agree crystal noir was horrible and le parfum in white smelled like pee on my skin i was so extremely dissapointed with the both of them because reading the notes and reviews i thought they were safe blind buys
I really like how you approached this video. Whilst standing your ground, you were very respectful to people who happen to like any of the mentioned scents❤️ Some of my favourites were on the lists and that was actually the reason why clicked on the video; to hear a fellow fragrance lover putting forward their perspective.
Finally someone who feels the same way I do about YSL Libre! I don’t understand how everyone loves that scent. Smells like men’s after-shave to me. 🤷♀️
I agree with Coco Mademoiselle. BUT YSL Libre and Scandal smell great on me. Strong scents do well on my skin, I will have to try the other scandal you mentioned! :)
Positive versus negative reviews are both important. I love the negatives aswell as they sometimes validate my own opinion. Only positives, seems "not authendic" cause noone loves everything. No need to excuse!
I love "perfumes I dislike" videos ! They sometimes help me save money 😂 Métallique on me smells pretty similar to Dior's Bois d'argent. Anyone else ? 😅 I personnally like it, I also like Guimauve and JM Myrrh & Tonka. No offense taken tho ! Personally, I cannot stand Crystal Noir, Olympea, any Narciso Rodriguez, Light Blue Sun, Elie Saab le parfum, JM Rose & Oud.. Love from France xx
Hi Gabby, if you don't like Manifesto, maybe you should try Manifesto L'Elixir, it's beautiful scent. I also think that Manifesto, Manifesto L'Elixir, Bon-Bon, JC Fever etc. are very similar scents, because of that vanilla note. Love your videos! ♡

I completely get what you mean about Mancera, it smells amazing in my boyfriend. Unfortunately they don’t seem to warm well to my body chemistry 😩 so I stick to Montale.
DG pour femme reminds me of scented feminine hygiene pads... 😅 TF Tubereuse Nue turns to bug spray on me, and Orchid Soleil to tortilla. 😣 Both are popular scents. I envy those who can enjoy!
I literally feel nauseous 🤢🤮 when I catch a whiff of Coco Mademoiselle, although it used to be my all time favourite fragrance. Others that I used to absolutely adore and now cannot stand are: Flowerbomb V&R, Stella by Stella McCartney, Chloe edp, la vie est belle, Black XS, N.Rodrigues EDT in the black bottle, Elie Saab EDP...in summary, all the smells of my 20s. It's strange as those were the best years of my life. Now all I wear is Chanel eau fraiche or Prada Iris.
Coco M. is awsome on my sister but when I spray it on me I don t like it. I mean i like it but i just don t see myself wearing it. Libre: not for me either
Hey Gabby, I agree with you on Hypnotic poison as well as Nuxe. I used to have Hypnotic poison, I purchased it once and I get something overwhelmingly sweet that I can't stand not only on me but on others as well. As for Nuxe I find it very strong and very auntie like and I can't stand it. I used up a Dolce e Gabbana Light Blue mini, it's nice but not something that would make me purchase a full bottle. After all I find it quite expensive. Thanks for sharing.
I definitely share your opinion on Manifesto - on my skin smells also like burned rice on milk - ble 🤮 But many years ago smelled wonderful and I was in love so it needed to be reformulated. That is such a shame. Oh, and 100% agreed on Holidays!!! That was a heart break because I loved the notes! But I really couldn’t stand it - just like you.
I had the same effect with libre. I had a sample tested it didn’t work out and I put it down. I came back to it months later and i Ioved it. I’ve noticed this happened with a few other fragrances when I first get them it doesn’t work out but when I let them sit for a bit they smell way better. Secret obsession I purchased because if the price and the reviews but It just didn’t work out!

@@shayladaniel6040 to my skin, I have noticed that when a sweet perfume with gourmand notes has intense patchouli doesn't work with my chemistry.. it smells dirty.. maybe the caramel?.maybe the honey? Maybe the licorice.. really I cant explain it.. I have the same problem with la vie est belle.. (gourmand notes with patchouli). But it is better than Scandal on my skin. I think it is not a specific note the problem but the combos.. on other perfumes maybe you will not have problem with licorice..
I am having the same exact taste and weird skin chemistry esp. in terms of Nerciso, Manifesto, Libre YSL, Hypnotic Poison, and Casmir Chopard (I wish I listened to your review about Casm`ir before I bought it).
A lot of the popular women's perfumes don't smell good on me... Black Opium, Miss Dior, Coco Mademoiselle, La Vie est Belle, Black Orchid, Flowerbomb. I gravitate to something more unisex I guess
I’ve had to get rid of Libre, The Scent Private Accord, and Angel off of first test. Libre smelled really strong and masculine on me and would have given me a headache if I kept it on. Angel smelled so rancid that it made me gag when I put my nose up to it. The Scent Private Accord wasn’t bad, just wasn’t something I wanted to smell on me.
About the "green notes" the same happened to me! I've heard so much about Eternity of Calvin Klein and how it's was good, fresh, powerful and classic! When I smelled in paper was an amazing flower scent, very lovely and delicate, but on my skin it becomes a sugar GRASS jam, yuke! 🤢 It doesn't work at all and made me sick every time that I tried! So since eternity experience I don't go for green notes never!!!
This is so weird, l'm also Eastern European, fair skin with light brown hair and green eyes, and the exact same perfumes that don't work for you are not working for me neither :)) For the very same reasons! Girl, l really need to pay attention to your channel more (and to that tempting collection behind you) :)
I got the same when I smelled Scandal . It’s sexy but way too much Honey 🍯. Definetly have to be in the mood. It seems we have the same perfume pallete. We dislike the same ones.
Angel & Fahrenheit - the only 2 perfumes I just can't stomach. Probably due to the fact that my mom & dad used to overspray them when i was a teenager & now I can't get rid of those scent memories 😁
That's funny, 50% of the fragrances you dislike - I totally agree and have very similar thoughts about them. The other half though... are my all-time favourites 😂 That's true what you said about how our perception of certain fragrances changes with time - it happens to me quite a lot recently.
I'm only starting my fragrance and I find your choices interesting haha. I only tried a sample of Narciso Rodriguez Rouge and it was so powdery and sweet on my skin. For some reason, my skin really projects powder, sugary sweetness. That's why I tend to choose fragrances with more 'organic' sweetness like amber, sandalwood or have more woody/spice notes in them. I tried Tobacco Vanille and Back to Black Kilian because I love Chergui (I thought it would be similar). All I smelt was tobacco with milk chocolate and honey. It made me nauseated. B2B Kilian opened weirdly soapy.
Same with me and the Narciso-musk thing. On me it smells like on the paper, but I HATE the smell of (this) musk in the Narciso perfumes. It makes me sick even just by thinking of it. To me, it smells like a 50+ woman that hasn’t been showering in quiet a while mixed with something sweet. I don’t like the Narciso perfumes 🤷🏻♀️
I hate gucci rush( it smells nice on other people) but on my skin is really awful, Gucci premiere, gucci bloom(maybe Gucci perfumes didn't work for me). I dont like (on my skin) Tom Ford Black orchid(I like velvet), jpg scandal, Burberry London, chanel coco mademoiselle, carolina Herrera good girl, marc Jacob's decadence, dolce Gabbana light blue(I like intense), ysl black opium.

Lancôme idole smells nice at first but on my skin after a few hours it dries down to a really musty rose incense stick smell which is just gross, I love idole aura though! Olympia legend smells like fermented rotten fruit and vinegar on me 🤢 had to go and wash it off immediately I couldn’t stand it, not as bad on paper but It still has that vibe lol
MFK Oud Satin Mood edp is one I really don't like. I don't get any oud on my skin, just a sickly sweet scent that I don't understand and people really love it. Don't care for BR540 too. Both the edp and extrait. Let's not even talk about Black Orchid. Felt nauseous instantly.
I struggle with Mugelr Aura edp, bought it but there is something in the fragrance that I just can’t stand. like something rotten. opening beautiful, the problem is the dry down. what do u think about it?

hello gabby...how are you? i have a question if you could share with us your opinion on jimmy choo first signature scent for women with toffee and caramel. well, years ago i personally had this perfume and i thought it had a nice addictive drydown with a wonderful patchouli- toffee combo but the opening was like a bug spray...the perfume was authentic.... did you also have this experience? also, recently i bought it again, of course authentic and the opening was like a chemical green paint smell or like when you have a permanent marker and you remove the cap of the marker it smells like this...but the drydown was very nice toffee patchouli addictive scent... so the opening is terrible in both cases.... is it me or you also had a similar experience? thank you dear gabby :_)
I absolutely agree with this list except the gaultier ( I don’t sniff it yet ) & Kissing ( my fave ) . What shocks me at nerve is the TF Rose Pick so boring and funeral rose gosh such a ripoff for 300$ 50ml in US ... unthinkable subpar
scandal by night is indeed much better version of the og if you love deeper secents it's more smoother somehow the og is just honey to point that it gets boring
I also don't like most of them also on paper. I also don't like for example M.Kors Sexy Amber, Dior Dune, Lancome Poeme, Adam Levine all Scandals and much more.
When you mentioned Kissing by Killian, I had to laugh because that’s how I feel about it also! I couldn’t understand at first what I didn’t like, but it just smells like cat piss …yuck🤢🤮 Another thing we have in common is musk and how it turns rancid on my skin. No, just no!😂 Thank you for this video, now I know which perfume to avoid in the future 😉👌
