everyone...my age ratings are simply my view of the book and everyone has different maturity levels so at the end of the day its your choice what you read, not anybody elses! and its literally just ink on dead trees so 💘
Would you recommend it? I'm a figure skater and I don't often see a lot of books where one of the main characters is a figure skater but I'm not sure if it will be for me, it seems very cliche
Icebreaker definitely is for older teens more like 17+, there are veryyyyy descriptive sexy scenes that younger teens should not be reading or getting into yet.
@@thatonebookreader_Crochet inappropriate content that is strictly not for children is not for children for a reason, being exposed to mature content can effect you in negative ways, i’m speaking for experience as somebody who was on the internet far too young. i wish more than anything that i didn’t see some of the things i had knowing how it would affect me. just stay safe online and know that age restrictions have reasons behind them :)
Definitely! For a lot of people it’s not about what they can handle, It’s about what won’t get them in trouble. I personally use age ratings to determine whether or not I can read a book, not because I want to know if I can handle reading it, but because I don’t want to get in trouble with my parents. I’m sure I could handle reading certain 18+ books even! But my Christian parents would definitely disagree and I would rather not get the privilege of picking out my own books taken away. I stick to books that are 15+ or under and even that’s a stretch sometimes!
@@Hannah-Banana063 okay? But that is not something you should be proud of, this only means you are growing up faster than you are supposed to. If you weren’t grossed out with the eroticas than you have probably read these type of books before too. Dude 15 would still be understandable since some children become mature till then but 10??? Girl you don’t even know how to write properly yet and use pencils intstead of pens in school- and your parents know that you read an erotica? That’s just messed up.
I think you should think about the age limits you put in this video, especially for icebreaker. for some teenagers that might be fine, but for most that book is very smutty and shouldn’t be marketed towards teens
I’m 10 and I’ve read it. My parents know I’ve read it and aren’t worried about it. I’m mostly a good kid and I wouldn’t do any of the things in the book that actually happen..me and my mom did have that talk too so it didn’t traumatize me at all. Yes it was a little sus but it was interesting too
@@lylatrabold4100 i think it’s a little overrated and repetitive, but everyone is different so you might love it. you can always just skip those chapters, but it also has bad language and discusses those kinds of topics. everyone has a different maturity level too 💓
idk if i should read icebreaker? i read the deal and it was really good, and i want to read something similar, so i thought icebreaker would be good but i don't want it to be too shallow (i HATE the twisted series btw)
As someone who likes to read (not that much) I do recommend the cruel prince, it’s a very interesting book with a good storyline. Good for people who enjoy medieval sort of stuff I guess.
Ik, when I finished the cruel prince trilogy I just sat and stared at my wall for a while and I wanted to cry. Not becuase it was a sad ending or anything but just becuase I was so sad that I had finished the books I would do anything to read them again for the first time
Yeah, some people complained about the medieval setting and I'm like "😂 ya'll didn't see the PRINCE in the title???" I love this series so much, and I'll be heartbroken when I finish it because I'm on The Queen of Nothing.
I feel like a book that's not talked about a lot of booktok or even at all but it's such a good book and I definitely recommend is called Tuck Everlasting. It's great for kids because it doesn't have any inappropriate scenes in it. It's definitely a harder read tho. It's about a girl who meets this immortal family and they take her with them to their house out in the woods. The plot twists are amazing and i definitely recommend!
i found the fairy loot edition of girls of paper and fire in a second hand shop years ago. I have always been shocked by the negative reception online. It's one of my favourite books till this day
i’m reading icebreaker and i’m 12. me and my older sister tricked my dad into thinking that it was okay since when you search up how old you should be to read it, it said 14:)
My fav genre of books is DEFINITELY murder mystery. They’re the books with the best plot twists. If you like murder mystery books I recommend: “ I know you did it” by sue Wallman. Legit my fav book of all time and I am staring to read “a good girls guide to murder” bcuz apparently it is amazing.😝
@@shesreading01 "Maturity" DOESN"T MATTER I cannot believe you guys think its ok for children to read porn IT"S PORN and being exposed to pornographic content (movies, books ETC.) has an effect to your brain, DO NOT ENCOURAGE CHILDREN TO READ THIS SORT OF STUFF Icebreaker literally says 18+ when you turn to the first page, and it's NA (meaning in case you didn't know) NA means new adult AKA 18+ readers, YA means teenage readers. DO NOT recommend NA titles to children (I've seen people are agreeing ice breaker is fine for 11+!
There is an age warning for icebreaker on the book. 18+ !! For adults - putting this any lower is not „an opinion“ that’s just not fine. The author/label didn’t make it this high so someone can recommend it to a younger audience just because it’s their opinion.
I very recommend satellite by nick lake if you like Sci fi space futuristic books! it talks about a 17 yr boy raised in space going to earth for the first time with alot of plot
Remember that if you are a pre teen looking in the young adult section, always ask your parent/guardian if it’s okay to get a book! You never know if it will be inappropriate or not.
I think the age rating depends because some readers have been reading since they were little and might be into more mature books at 13-14 plus they gotta learn someday 🤷♀️
advertising icebreaker as 15+ is crazy work, it does not matter if you’re a younger teen and are more mature or whatever the hell, a book like icebreaker should remain 18+. believe me, when i was 13-14, i wouldn’t have understood. i’m 20 now and i know better
Guys im obsessed with PJO and all of thoes Rick Riordan books, but im running out this is an emergency i repeat EMERGENCY. I NEED MORE BOOKS LIKE RICKS!! (No spice pls)
Hey have you read Shielded by KayLynn Flanders it’s def a recommendation for everyone that likes a female main character and strong story line and it came out in 2020 but I’ve not seen anyone hop on it. It’s so good to read and a 10/10 for me
If you liked: The Unwanteds Series You should read: Nevermoor Series I personally didn’t like the Undwanteds, but there is some similarities with the Nevermoor series, which is my fav book series and they aren’t as popular
