(presuming) pretty sure it's when people got mad at the small anni rewards last anni (3 fates) and tried to do a boycott on hyv for it. the genocide he mentioned is the one currently ongoing in Palestine (and was at the time) -- one that would benefit a lot from boycott movements + any attention. he's one of the first ccs to speak about it + he has some family members in Palestine himself. if you didn't get the gist, he's just addressing the fact that genshin ccs were silent on a deeply important world issue that could have benefitted from them speaking out + calling for boycotts, donations, any relief, etc. whereas they were directing this towards genshin rewards (considerably less important.) sorry if this was long/incorrect and/or you already got an answer, but yeah! if you weren't aware about the genocide in Palestine, i advise you to educate yourself btw :) /gen
