No countries come out of it because the people who have the responsibility of shaping the bounds of society won't ever listen when the society they are shaping screams out: we can't afford anything!
On top of that, I grew up in a emptyish town, post factory... It was lonely, very lonely... None of you will actually enjoy the population decrease. As it decreases your depression will increase.
@@antinatalistwitch111you enjoy roads with ever more potholes...bridgesyou cant pass..no hotels no shops no schools no hospitals...communities of 70 plus people no vibrant cultures...and every year these trends increase.. For me a spooky SF story unfolding
Most people talking about India have no idea about the cultural importance placed on having children that still exists here. The biggest reason fertility rates are reducing in India is because of infertility. There is so much pollution and food adulteration here causing skyrocketing infertility especially in cities ans crowded towns, which incidentally, is because of the population itself
Countries try to get old people to work longer. But few talk about getting young people into the workforce earlier. The schooling and education system takes around 20 years (assuming a Master), so many are 25 or older before they start a job. Could we do something about the education system to get young people into the workforce faster?
And even by the end of the century, the number of people will be a few billion higher than now. That is 80 years from now! We will all be dead by then!! What are these people even talking about!
The bald guy is clearly far right based on his rhetoric. Can't believe that he said the improvements in education for women in Germany is behind "the problem". He dounds like a Donald Trump supporter. And ss for the issue of yhrre not being enough young workers to support older people, well that will only be an issue for a generation - not permanently since thingd will even out again once yhe "fewer than before" young people become the older generation. This discussion clearly set out with a set sgenda and discussed the issue of some women CHOOSING not to have children as being a problem for society. Those women and men who do want children should be facilitated to do so with adequate salaries and housing. Now there's a REAL problem that needs to be discussed but of course in you right-wing agenda it would be a taboo subject.
If there was no slavery and wars africa would be 7 billion people by now africa doesn't have population problem it has enough space for 7 billion people

If having a boy and a girl means having both (by inventing such a future) and man taking it into his own hands and making a strict global rule that every couple in the world should have only one boy and one girl (only two such children) without any discrimination in the world. And if the same rule is applied to future new couples, tell me whether the world's population will increase or decrease, why will it remain the same?
How do you expect women to want to have more kids when childcare is more money than a mortgage, raising a child from 0-18 is about $250k usd, and women are now required to work in order to sustain the household??
Opportunity in what way, we are importing more people than ever. Mass immigration indefinitely isnt a solution either which is what is happening, its unstabble
90 to 95 percent of women wanted to have a child during their childbearing years i think this is a bit high around here a lot of women dont want to have children at all
Basically it. The wealthiest citizens of the wealthiest civilizations to every exist have convinced themselves that they are too poor to have children and meanwhile this is the most abundant and easiest time to live.
Gender equality? Well I am all for it and increasing paid parental leave, etc. But to claim low birth rates are due to a lack is a stretch... it wasn't too long ago that birth control wasn't even an option, or opting out of marriage. Celebrate the progress people ✨️ 💪 🎉
Mate, there will no progress in future if this leads to extinction that means there weill be some who will go back to the days where its sustainable its only logical. Solution has to be made to create something more sustainable while keeping its progress. Mass immigration isnt the solution either just delaying the inevitable while adding other issues.
It’s very good that we are coming to an equilibrium. With our planet and its resources. All successful organic species have a constant population in a given context. Nothing bad with that. An older human population will signify that we will have more knowledge, prudence and wisdom and less desire to conquest through wars.
An equilibrium is unlikely. It'll likely be growing or shrinking. I too think fewer people overall would be good but the way there will rough. You can't even imagine... So buckle tf up, it's going to be a wild, bumpy ride.
@@mysterioanonymous3206 Many humans tribes around the planet have been living centuries in a total equilibrium with nature and with permanent population numbers. All this have been disturbed by European culture of conquest and explotation. Ancient tribes in the Amazon still exists in this equilibrium and in many more places we don’t care or know. It’s a fact that for the human this is not just a possibility but a destiny in the long run.
Only developed countries see it as a crisis coz they don't have unemployment problems but the developing countries with millions of jobless people who have to seek jobs outside their countries see it as an opportunity atleast they will get jobs
No, even developing nations have fertility rate on Decline. I am from India, do you have any idea how many villages and small towns have almost zero to less than 200 people living there?. Believe me, in India and China I see a huge population collapse coming. Well good luck finding a cheap labor for you products.
@@matheenarif8645 my dear am from kenya we have people everywhere and many are born everyday and the number of unemployed is high while most ofthose who are employed are paid peanuts so we still can't see how population declining is a crisis
Woman marry across and up hierarchies and men across and down on average. Woman become more awesome, and educated which result in less viable male partners. Most women who do not have children do so mostly bc they prioritize their careers or never found a quality partner. I think less than 20% of childless woman are childless bc of not wanting children. Housing is also crazy for 2/3 bedrooms rn and student loans are crushing Americans (micro problem). Great video btw!
@XXmtdnacommunism and socialism wasn’t exactly the best for family formation or survival compared to capitalism. But yes you’re right but however I do think the video was good
Sorry guys it's worse then that. Humanity has 18 days before the great reset. The world population peak was in 2018 at 9.176b ppl. Now we at 1750million world wide with 10million ppl dying a day since COVID began. Every country world wide Japan, China India all has drop to extinction lvls when then then the world with most populated countries including south and central America. All you have to do is open your eyes and see there ain't as much ppl in your home town as there used to be
In the 80's it was, "oh no we're going to be overpopulated" and Euthanasia! Now it's, "oh no we are gonna have a population collapse!" It's like, pick a struggle! 🤨

In the urban global north, women are earning >20% more than men and earning over 70% of professional degrees, so a rebalancing is needed. The pro-natalist bias needs to be minimized, but citizens must be conditioned to accept that they will have to work longer during the needed downsizing and reduce consumer demand. The corporate sector must be further regulated to reduce the free polluting policies of manufacturers, and the reduction of fertility and female health must be recognized as a long term emergency.
You obviously love India with huge blowout in population. China have managed its population growth well….. Many young couples want few children ….so as to have a better standard of life.
Increased toxic wastes (plastics etc.) combined with cuts in medical services led to an increase in the percentages of people reaching the age of 100--entirely predictable.
I'm guessing it will be extremely difficult to make quick money in the near future. Possibly difficult to make much money at all. Prepare for living standards a la 1924...if we're lucky. If not lucky, then the Stone Age.
We need that growing population of older people to start 'declining'. That makes more resources available to younger people, and would induce population growth
@@JoJo-ie8sl it's easy to make more resources. My whole life I heard we don't have enough water, yet it's the one thing we have the most of. It just needs innovation, and getting things done to get the salt out of it when we need it

The Planet feeds on us, don't you think the carbon cars make the carbon that the plants use to build their structures and do chemical exchanges of oxygen.
Lord Have Mercy! Why won't anybody say what needs to be said. This problem is laid right at the feet of women and the feminist movement and as the third world becomes more liberated for there women this will be there future. Women can definitely get educated and get jobs just as men and that may make them free, that is debatable if someone is free because they have Job. The problem is men can not do women's part of our society they can not have babies. If women don't go back to having babies our society and people will disappear. (But women will have had a good Job) What a victory.👍
Good point. But realize this: there WILL NOT be a global Handmaid's Tale implemented successfully. The Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu tried to implement this by banning birth control and this failed HORRIFICALLY. There were abandoned children in orphanages that died from neglect. So it's not about thinking of FORCING women to have children only, those children MUST be WANTED and RAISED properly for humanity to have a future. Understand that women will NOT go back to being relegated simply to the domestic sphere and bearing the total burden of raising children again. That era is over.
The pay gap is pretty much non-existent between young men and young women in fact more women out earn most young guys these days the only reason why we have a pay gap has to do with the older generation of men still working corporate jobs or grandfathered in with their union manufacturing jobs making $40 an hour but that's not true with the younger men
People without children should get a fraction of the vote and a fraction of the pay and additional tax burdens than people with children. They are effectively free riders. People with families should be favored by all government agencies.
