I desperately wanted to get official footages from their performances in summer festivals but I fear the chances will be close to zero. Why? What's the problem? Regarding Hellfest, the channel ARTE Concert streamed many performances but nothing from Mainstage 1, the stage where PT Played. For next festivals, well... Fingers crossed but few hopes.

@@AlessandroDAgostini-z2x I think it is the way in which the band sells itself or what they have always shown; be out of the mainstream. If we stop to think about it, I dare say that they hadn't chosen to play at a festival since the mid-90's (search Porcupine Uden, De Kuip) and above all I think Steven likes to be 100% involved in the production of his recordings at alive, which in this case, everything would be at the hands of the Hellfest organization. Considering that they are likely to break up again, I wish they would leave us that gift live at an event like this. I don't speak for anyone else, just my opinion.

They'll release a recording of their show in Amsterdan later this year

@@21Cayque12Thanks, I already knew (Richard said it in hellfest press conference). We knew they recorded the show in Amsterdam and we are waiting the official announcement. Aniway, we want more... Because there are not that many PT gigs on RU-vid. I think many fans want to watch at least some of their performances in summer festivals. But that's unlikely to happen.

@@zeratwul They are out of the mainstream, but it's clear from interviews that Steven has been frustrated with this and wants to break into a wider audience, both with PT and his solo records. As for the live performances, PT have allowed external TV networks to shoot their concerts in the past. For example, the Virginia, U.S network, Mhz, during the In Absentia tour, the Rockapalast show for German TV which I believe was shot in Cologne during the Deadwing Tour, and also there is proshot footage of the band playing a full concert at the Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans for the Fear of a Blank Planet Tour.

Of course but it isn't the reason to publish on RU-vid. Moreover some band accept it and some band don't accept. Porcupine tree had specificly indicate that at the beggining of their show. Don't respect it = don't respect this band.

My dude this ain’t the hill to die on lol. The no filming rule actually offers the best of all worlds to us. Its main goal is to prevent the crowd from being a sea of phones, which it does quite well. It also allows a few sneaky folks to unobtrusively film and allow the people who weren’t there to see some of the show. It’s not really disrespectful. Also I’m curious, what language do you have on you keyboard that puts an accent on video? French?

I appreciate there being SOME footage, cause they never go anywhere near my country. I wanna see them, this is how I can. Thanks

THE ONLY REASON HE DOESN'T WANT RECORDING, IT'S NOT BECAUSE COPYRIGHTS. HE WANTS PEOPLE TO ENJOY THE SHOW RATHER THAN FILMING,,,THAT'S ALL. YOU HAVE TO LISTEN SOME OF HIS INTERVIEWS ABOUT THAT
