I pretty much went at it by ear, and watched the live version as well. You can check out the acoustic version as well to hear how he really does it, keep in mind he does it with the capo on 2nd fret instead of the 5th. I'm working on getting some pdf tabs available!
I think the time is 6/8-2/8, a compound time signature: 3/8, 3/8, 2/8. 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2. Yes it adds to 8/8 or 4/4 but that sort of reduces out the magic.
