Dal khichdi with pork curry
Dal khichadi
1/2 cup yellow moong dal
1/2 cup basmati rice
Soak both separately in water for 1/2 n hour
In a pressure cooker add 3 tbs coconut oil then add 2 tbs minced garlic, 1 tbs finely minced ginger ,3 chopped green chilli, then add 2 cup minced onions saute until softened , then add 1:4 tsp chilli powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, and salt then add 2 cup finely chopped tomatoes, and finally rice and moong dal , then add 3 cups of water and cover the lid and cook for 4 whistles on low flame , open the pressure cooker once it release the pressure,
For tempering
3 tbs ghee
2 tbs garlic minced
1 tbs ginger minced
3 green chillies
1:4 tsp cumin seed
1/4 tsp whole pepper
1/4 tsp pepper powder
1/4 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
1/4 tsp asafoetida
Add this to the rice and dal mixture and mix really well
Pork curry
Dry masala
3 tbs fennel seeds
1 large cinnamon sticks
6 cardamom
5 cloves
Dry roast these and simmer the flame and add
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbs coriander powder
1 tbs pepper powder
1/2 tbs chilli powder
Dry roast for few seconds and powder this to a fine powder
In an uruli add
Add 30 finely chopped shallots
3 tbs ginger minced
4 tbs garlic minced
5 green green chillies
Then add dry masala
Salt
Saute for few seconds on low flame and add cooked pork ( pressure cook pork for 3 whistles with salt , turmeric and pepper )again cook for 30 minutes on low flame , then add 1 cup coconut milk,cook again for 5 more minutes add curry leaves enjoy
