I am so embarrassed. I mispronounce Porphyritic through the whole video. I almost did not post this. I found these rocks in Idaho and did not realize my mistake until I got home. Otherwise the video is spot on. Next time I am in Idaho I will re-shoot this video.

I heard explanations on the formation of crystals before and this one is the most concise. Got it now.

Thank you for that. I'm sorry that I keep mispronouncing Porphyritic. I didn't realize until I returned to my home in Southern California, and I could not reshoot, because we don't have rocks like that down here.

@@benjaminmerritt5935 Really? I live in Owens Valley and both ranges East and West have all kinds of rocks like the ones in the video, well actually the Eastern Sierra, there you can find Diabase, Diorite, Gabbro, Granite, Porphyritic rocks etc.
