This Restomod Porsche 911 S/T (1970) was created as a track day tool and to celebrate the owner's addiction to 911's. It is based on a G-Model (Porsche 911 SC) and was carefully hand built by a team of specialists that all belong to the network porsche.leben

This is excellent work, I know first hand how tricky those ST flares are to get right. 👍

Great video. That does look like some great welding. I love the SC 911s and have owned two of them. A 1979 and a 1982. There used to be a lot of back and forth talk on Pelican Parts about what was better a SC or a Carrera. The SC owners would always say, of course it is the SC because the "SC" stands for "Super Carrera"

Yeah, the US version of the 3.2 had only little more power than the late SC‘s, so that’s pretty much a draw. The European, high compression 3.2 is a different story.

@peterjons3954 Год назад
@@GreasyFingers True, the US version 3.2 had only a small increase in power over the SC, but that power, or importantly torque, was delivered at lower RPM and that made all the difference.

Same here. I suggest we blame it on the gear. 🙂

It takes courage to do a restomod, but good taste and experience to do it properly. would love to see it under its own power some day…

Thanks, Vassilis. All I know about the second engine already makes me think: I want that too.

I like the change of pace from your car and your garage to a friends place with a dog that is so tiny that it almost looks like there is just a leash on the ground. If the welder, who did the welding here, played the guitar he would be Jimmy Hendix. Really....a car built for racing and really is really a race car? I have more faith in the world after hearing that! The build up, the race car and you can see from a distance there is no engine and then you lift the engine lid and ...yes there is NO engine. And the video runs out. That is like 20 minutes of fore play and she decided to go home for no apparent reason. Will the car ever get an engine that we get to see in the future? “A garage without a Porsche is just a dark hole” Walter Rohrl - Porsche Development

Who did you get the S/T flares from? Lots of alternatives out there but these look very close to the original.

Hello Charles. As I’m just the film maker and not the owner, I don’t know the answer. Please follow the link in the description to owner Martin’s Insta page.

Great videos always, but you can stop blurring out the license plate numbers. Nobody can do anything nefarious with it and everyone can see the number when the car is driven anywhere. If someone has a good reason to do this, please let me know.
