The fact that this porsche is eating hypercars with less cylinders and half the hp just shows how much of a masterpiece it is. Porsche knows what they’re doing
@@rmhz6815 i'm probably sounds a little racist, but there's a D-O-G system called German shepherd that would make a nice addition for this car instead of Mexican Cihuahua.
been around for years my dad found the C-A-T system in the car all the time especially when he left the sunroof open. went to work with him a few times lol
There is no best in my view.Mr Jww,Doug Demuro,Henry Catchpole,Jeremy Clarkson,Hugo Bovington are just a few at the pinnacle of motor reviewing.Matt's in that elite group, especially if you like a bit of comedy thrown in.
But it’s just a 911, fantastic car, but hard to get excited about, an entry level carrera as an everyday sports car makes more sense and then have something a bit more interesting for the weekend.
This is the only car over $80,000 that’s worth every dollar of it. edit: the $80k line mentioned above is now $100k when adjusted for inflation (11/2023)
I once used launch control in my uncle’s rwd 991 carrera S. That felt absolutely brutal - faster than any roller coaster I’ve been on - and it did 0-60 in 3.7 sec. I cant even imagine how 2.5 sec must feel...
EXTaviation quite a few manufacturers do it now. The figure they quote is at the wheel. So you need to add at least 10%. The new bmw m5 is closer to 700 when measured correctly
The surface where he does the acceleration and brake test is really dirty with lots of gravel. I bet the time and distance would be better on a cleaner surface.
@@farzana6676 i bought a new car half a year ago and animal repellent was on the options list. My co-worker had some wires chewed off by a marten in her car, too, and she lives in a town. So, yeah, that is a real thing if you're not parking your car in a garage all the time, even in urban areas.
I love how he does the launches and stuff straight away sometimes cause it’s whatever he wants to do - he doesn’t tease us and leave it till right the end so we have to watch the whole video
I'm always amazed how incredible this car looks live vs in photos and videos. People say that the designers creating the next gen 911 have the easiest and the hardest job in the industry. They have to keep the iconic look of the car and in the same time make it new and fresh. They've done it again cause this last gen is a stunner.. I got a feeling that a Taycan will have a similar impact on the EV car market.. It's different but also iconic and reminiscent of the 911. The new Taycan sport wagon (I don't know what they'll call it but it looks like a wagon), is incredible.
@@DuGongggg you're a moron lol. 720s is RWD and on street tires pulls under 2.3 seconds 0-60 and runs the 1/4 almost full second faster stock... And its 2 yrs older technology.
Since it’s still around 80 bhp down and heavier than the Mc laren I think it’d lose a drag race. I’d take this Porsche over the Mclaren anyday. Real world performance on a public road can’t see anything beating this.
I was felt pretty young when my dad had a 2017 one so I didn’t know very much about the car more than it was one of the fastest street legal cars. But this brings back some memories for sure.
@@jameswillard1 in Carwow,720 s did the quarter mile in 10.4,10.5 second. But the 911.2 turbo S did it in 10.3 sec in the first try. This new 992 turbo S will win
@@chrisanderson2204 yeah another example is the 911 Carrera s, they say 3,7 (0-100kph) but if there is only one person in the car and the tank is a bit empty, you can do a 3,35s. That's Porsche😂👌💪
@@chrisanderson2204 That's cause all the magazines don't measure 0-60 fully. They only start timing after the first 12 inches of distance, which is why the magazines like Car and Driver or MotorTrend get 0-60 0.1/0.2 of a second quicker than the actual time.
The performance and design of this car excited me. Especially, A line flowing from the c pillar to the rear of the vehicle exceeded beauty. It also has excellent performance. This car is perfect.
@Sarkozy Tesla is the only carmaker I know that gives test-drives to anyone. Everyone else wants to see intent to buy, or in case of the good Porsches proof of funds to buy. Tesla on the other hand was willing to give me a p100d to test drive, after I said that I am from Europe (it was in the US), from a country they don't cover, and there is no chance I will be buying the car since it is too expensive for me. But I am a fan and I want to live the experience. *And they said ok* only problem was I had a European driving a license that they figured out a day before that when they requested a scan... So they offered me to drive me around in the car instead. (Of course my luck is shit and sth important came up and had to cancel 2 hours before the ride...). Oh and I was under 25 back then... (On the other hand, in a Porsche showroom I was told to not sit in one of the cars because its their most premium vehicle. But I could sit in a Cayman or a cayenne... The car was a 911 ffs
Until its done in only one way of the road its not official . Its suspicious how every car he tests there on that direction is faster by 0.5 sec to 2.0 sec faster than the manufactuers said
When I first saw this car in the flesh, I stood and admired it with my jaw dropped open for what felt like forever. Porsche makes the most stunning cars.
@@Neil-914 Same features? Not even close. Have you even checked what RaceBox offers? Absolutely standalone device, everything built-in, lap timer mode, way more functionality, etc. ;)
Edit The Sink they’re both rated at 2.7 seconds but the Porsche will be the one that faultlessly does 2.5-2.8 every single time. I’m with you - Porsche it is for me.
Hasan Genc Have you driven both? If not how can you tell how exciting the turbo is to drive, when do you drive „excitingly“? I was once driven in the old one, and that was fucking exciting!
The difference in emotion between watching reviews of a Turbo and driving one is crazy... I got a ride in the 991.2 version and can say that it is an insane feeling when engine and turbos are just screaming right behind you
On a drag strip, the Lamborghini would lose because it's more focused on cornering. By far it produces the most downforce of the three, which means it would be superior to these particular models on a track, though it is slower than a GT2 RS around the Nurburgring. I think the Turbo S would likely win against a 720 S just because it has 4 wheel drive.
I had no idea Porsches were that fast from 0-60! I always thought they were in the 3-4 seconds territory! This video literally made me transform from being a Porsche hater to this being my dream car! Edit: I really don't know why I wrote I was a Porsche hater, I guess I just hate the owners and not the car itself. In the place I live, the people who own Porsches are mostly cocky middle aged men who think they're above everyone and they piss everyone off, of course this doesn't apply for all Porsche owners, but a lot of them are like this, which is probably why it created a bad influence on Porsche for me. Also most Porsches' 0-60 are around 3-4 seconds so I was actually right...

@@bruhnt5063 It's because most people can't afford a Porsche until they're in their 40-ies or older. So don't blame (middle) age (I'm a 43 y/o Porsche-owner myself 😉)
lot of people own Porsches not just middle aged rich people. most people that buy these cars is because its there dream car not because they want to show of or anything.... if someone can afford it way do people all ways assume the worst about someone.
Love it. You get the performance of the supercars but a much more beautiful, symmetrical design. It's classy and gorgeous. Not gaudy or like it belongs it belongs in space. I love 2 door coupes and this has to be the easiest on the eyes I've ever seen.
