How do you wash a vinyl wrap? I need to learn given that I've just wrapped my car. In this video I test out a few products recommended to me by Larry at Ammo NYC. Do you have any favorite products for matte or satin finishes?? Let me know!

Shampoo Only with a soft sponge. Microfiber cloth cleaning and drying. No Polishing except for Tyre polish. 3 Rules Always!

I uploaded the modifications I made to my 2008 (997) 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet. Thought you might like them. Since changing the spoiler I got from watching you change yours on your 997.

Being and ex mobile detailer before my heat stroke of July 1st 2016 taking me out the car detailing game, I always washed from the top down and did the sides before the Front or Rear for washing, drying, and then pain protecting. Always staryed at top then sides then front and rear as I worked down for all 3. Also, do wheels with seperate bucket and cleaning tools always!

Hi James, just subscribed to your channel and love it. I just got myself the same 991 you have! It all leather interior, can i clean the interior with 0 alcohol, antibacterial wetwipes?

Hi Anthony! Thanks for subscribing and for commenting! You should be able to clean the interior surfaces of your car with antibacterial wipes that have 0% alcohol. It’s the alcohol that would dry out and potentially damage leather or other surfaces. Having said that, there may be other chemicals in your wipes I don’t know about. Experiment with a small surface first and see how it goes. Good luck!

Chemical Guys are great products but if you have AMMO NYC products then use his and forget Chemical Guys. Larry's products definitly trumps Chemical Guys!

Okay here are my comments, based on my preferences obviously :-) The blue looks amazing! Nice choice. That being said: I would take the wrap off the door handles leaving them the original dark color or paint them black to match the other black trim. I would refinish the wheels in black to match the black PORSCHE lettering on the sides and other black trim. I would also disassemble the headlights and paint the interior black, matching the other black trim. So there you go, more mods for you! lol

I'm not sure I could ever just use a spray on my car without hosing it down. How do the larger particles of dirt not scratch the paint, or wrap, when you simply spray and wipe?

If you can with Chemical Guys I have been very happy with their Citruis Wash and Gloss. Out of a gal I could do well over 200 washes which was great for my auto detailing busienss back in the day. I used 1 or 2 cap fulls per 5 gal bucket and it was plenty of suds and lubercant for mobile detailing using the 2 and 3 bucket system

You can’t go wrong using Larry and his products, great stuff! Only thing better is bring the 911 to Colorado and have me detail that baby! 🤪 Also, you cant have too many microfiber towels!!!

Well, you are into something, but not good enough….why this hang on waterless wash...…..??? use a pressure washer, and a decent foam canon and two bucket Wash Method, also you can do the wheels...you have plenty of Space to make a decent Wash and dry, My detail heart still hurts… you need to study detailing, and snap up the basics, not difficult Captain Papa Smurf !!!

Hahahaha. Well, in the spring and summer I will use my pressure washer and my two buckets but when the temperature is below freezing outside, it’s not a lot of fun washing a car with a lot of water. Nor is it much fun slipping on your frozen ice rink of a driveway afterwards. 🤣😬😬😬

Pressure rinse whole car first always using this pattern. Top first. Back second. Front third. Sides fourth . Wheels and tires last. Chem Guys soap cannon. Let sit, rinse. I still believe in real chamois. Mine's a ragtop, so I get the specialty products, but aloe??!! LOL Love that color!!

In the first year of my wrap I made the handwash. Now I drive to the next car wash station. 7 bucks...easy. no problem for the wrap.

Also I do jet wash, snow foam, 2 buckets method wash, towel dry, spray wax. First 911 so really enjoy washing the car! 😀

Not sure I’ve ever seen a car get washed like that in my life 😂... But then with a wrap I guess you have some built in protection so you can do what you like chap!

Hi James. Thought it was about time I said hello again. Great videos. Always make me smile. Very brave washing without water but I guess no choice over there in the freezing Minnesotan (is that a word?) winter. Beats the wind and rain in Blighty though, hey? The car looks fab btw. And even the flip flops are growing on me. :-)

Great job James! Ammo is the man! Maybe explore a similar process for cleaning the wheels at the same time. I guess you can do about the same thing, just use lots of black towels. Love the black porsche on the sides, really ties the wheels and all together 👍

Auto Amateur lol. I have yet to use a waterless wash. Don’t make sense to me. Seems like you are leaving a film of soap over the car but I am sure that just shows I don’t know about it. Can I suggest you have Larry on as a guest, either RU-vid or podcast. Let viewers know in advance to submit questions.

Not much time in winter climates here, but I usually wash top down and front to back. I guess it depends on whether your car has more grit and grime on the front or back. You would think the dirt would collect on the front more but the spray from wet driving seems to kick up more on the rear.🤔 PS - I’m still stoked every time I see the blue!
