The 928 was not the 911 replacement. PLEASE stop parroting this internet trope that wont die. Porsche NEVER raced or had any intention of racing the 928. It was a somewhat heavy, rubbery Luxury GT car not the 911's replacement. The 924 WAS the 911's anticipated replacement and in 1979 and 1980 Porsche actually factory raced a 924.
Der 928 war schon als 911 Weiterentwicklung bzw. Ersatz gedacht. Man hatte damals nicht damit gerechnet, dass die 911 Fan Gemeinde so treu war und den 928 nicht akzeptieren würde. Eigentlich sollte der 928 den 911 ablösen, was aber nie der Fall war. Trotzdem finde ich persönlich den 928 genial, tolles Auto 👍🏻
@@steffenbaden-baden1274 Der 924 war das Auto, mit dem Porsche weitermachen wollte. Sie fuhren tatsächlich einen 924 und nie einen 928. Es wäre töricht, einen schweren Luxus-GT fahren zu wollen, es sei denn, man wäre dazu gezwungen.
