Porsche 986 Boxster S Launch with Stebro Race Exhaust & Fabspeed Bypass Pipes - AMAZING SOUND

Just picked up a new toy in time for summer. It's a 2003 986 Porsche Boxster S 6-speed. The exhaust is a Stebro Race Muffler with Fabspeed secondary cat bypass pipes. The sound is fantastic, the video doesn't do it justice. Sorry about the wind noise. I may try this video again to get better sound. I'm guessing 0-60 mph is in the low 5's.
Much more to come with this car!

Thanks - the car has been really good to me. That was actually the first and only time I've launched it, I'm usually pretty nice to the car. Going quickly through the corners is more of its thing. It will be kept in mint condition, I can promise you that!

It’s not sub 5s, he said it might be low 5s, and that means nothing, the car is practically stock. The exhaust might give it an extra 10bhp at best, 0-60 will be no quicker than 5.5

@@ESKATEUK5.5 is still a pretty hot car for everyday use. My 5.0 hitting sub 5s felt absolutely rowdy and in something that small must be insane

Should do the 3.4l intake manifold/TB, and MAF. Along with some headers, and of course a proper tune. (FVD is the only way to go, they can actually tune for the larger MAF/TB) You'd be looking at Carerra numbers no problem.

i have an exhaust that sounds like no other Porsche 986s or 911. its fantastic. Made by Bruno De Silva, from BDS PERFORMANCE in ENGLAND. it sounds like a V8. Truly amazing car all round

I have always through about picking one of these up but am afraid of the IMS problems. Are you doing anything to prevent this?

IMS bearing and RMS have already been done on this car. I may put an upgraded ceramic IMS bearing sometime we will see. I'm not too worried about it, I won't be putting a ton of miles on this thing.

I know this is not the porsche's Forte but what would be an 1/8 mile time for it. Also what would be the top speed on a standing mile?What's the top speed for a boxster?

sami Herz - I would guess high 8's in the 8th, 135-140 mph in the mile, and around 160 mph top speed.

Nope, standard open diff. If you are going straight and the pavement has even traction, you often get both wheels to spin.

Ha! I don't think I'll add any more power - it's probably 270-280 hp as is. It looks good, sounds good, handles great...but yea, it's slowwwwww compared to the S4!
