Welcome back for another video, this time we are going to take a close look at the porsche in assetto corsa competizione and how I set it up. This is by no means a setup guide on how everything works but a general overview of how I go about things. I do not know all the facts about the setups in this game so take what i say with a grain of salt and let me know down below :)

With the upcoming release of 1.9, this video regarding the tires is completely redundant. Im also assuming that this will make a lot of the suspension dynamics redundant as well. I'll make an updated video once I take the time to learn the car!

Thanks for this. I only use the 911 in ACC, and have been struggling with the set up. I can turn decent laps with the aggressive set up, but feels like a fight and car is on the ragged edge the whole time. Will try your set up methodology and see how it goes!

@@mxscott85 Yup they are! I would say that we dont have to go max negative toe anymore which is probably the only thing thats different now

Your guide helped me a lot. I have tried a few setups for the 991 GT3R, but liked your setup the most. The only thing I am struggling is snap oversteer on corner exit. You have to be very careful going on throttle. I am sure the patch 1.9 changes some dynamics from the setup you have created. Can I request you to make new videos for both the porsches after the 1.9 patch. Thank you so much friend. CHEERS!! I love porsches and wants to only drive the porsche in the game.

thank you! and reducing the rear toe will help with traction and same with adding bump stop range on the rear. to be honest, i really dislike the 992 and 1.9 in general so i haven't taken the time to learn the 992 as much

Because of 1.9 you'll probably need a bit of rear bumpstop range as well as maybe a bit less rake.

Q: Have you messed with the steering ratio in game? (I think it's in mechanical grip). I've found 14 to be a bit twitchy/sensitive and usually use 16. I suppose it just smooths out my inputs into the wheel... I guess another question follows that, are you using 1:1 steering ratios with your wheel software/in-game? For example 900 degrees in logitech software and 900 degrees in game? I know there is a list of what the real cars use but ACC is supposed to automatically set that (they call it a 'soft lock' or something). Just curios, thanks!

Thank you for this! I’ve tried 14/15 and usually default to 14 for me. Yep i use 800 on my wheel and in game for the porsche! I tend to prefer a very responsive, probably over responsive car, so that’s just kinda my style. If 16 feels good for you i would recommend keeping it for all setups and adjust other settings for tracks!

wouldn't 16 be more sensitive than 14? isn't the number how many degrees the wheels turns per degree of rotation?

This may be a dumb question, but I know in ACC, the Porsche using 800 degrees. But as far as the ratio goes, does ACC use the “correct” one in their Aggressive setups? I never know what is the true ratio for any given car. Although, I suppose that changes by track as well. Long question shorter, is there a way to determine what the factory ratio is for each car in ACC? Sorry for the newbie question, but that’s me! 😉

So if you're talking about the steering ratio, that is different than the steering lock and is adjustable based on driver needs EX more to less sensitive on wheel movements. I usually leave it at 14/15 because that's what i'm comfortable with. I don't believe there is a factory ratio to be found as it's more or less a setup change like springs and stuff like that! I hope that answered your question!

I just started ACC and trying to get the test done at Monza and the last Chicane, I get lots of oversteer and the back just goes, every time. How can I correct that

I’ve taken 2 sec off with your help. Appreciate that!! But if I try to push harder I get snap oversteer when tapping the brakes. High speed corners just touching the brakes I loose the back. Any tips??

men i've been strouguling big time with this car ,, im getting a lots of understeer than anything , it does not matter what i do , i still get them ,, turning in, middle, and out , with bakes, with fuel , even at the shop i get understeer ,,, i dont know what to do oher than lifting my SA

my guess is you're probably turning the steering wheel way too much, a porsche does not struggle with understeer that much at all

@@zachdoran10 I'm getting there, my pedal needed some air spray for me able to hit 100% , brakes as well , and with some online setup, I yva gained 8 seconds in Spa , but yes I'm learning how to brake early and when to full throttle avoiding understeer much , thank you
