True..The scoops, vents, splitters etc just look daft. I don't think Porsche have made a truly beautiful car since the 993...maybe the 997 4S. This thing to me is another pig of a thing, I cannot stand that rear light.

Thanks, I used to aim for a 5:30pm launch but seeing how dark it is at this time of year, I moved it back slightly to 5pm. Maybe I'll have to review timings again when we hit summertime and the clocks go back an hour!

Does anyone have feedback about this option? My understanding is it may not change all that much.

I have it on my 2023 Carrera…..I don’t think it does much. The car is loud……that’s the price you pay for perfection.

Love that you bring up sound deadening at the rear. Very likely culprit. I’d also be curious to see, like Harry mentioned, different tires on the car. I’m assuming that Porsche offers these test cars with winter tires at this time of year. That could be part of the issue as well.

Funny thing, I was hoping a 991/992 was going to be a lot quieter than my base 997.1 - perhaps they aren’t 😢

I agree! We had big plans in 2020 but CV restrictions meant it couldn't happen, here's hoping 2021 might be kinder to the idea of EU travel but hard to plan anything right now..

With all of these cars if just get the base version. It's the best bang for buck.

@@KreKeriS911 although good looking, i'm starting to lean to the 718. The 718 now also has the only special interior (although old) the 911 interior is an exact copy of Macan Cayenne and Panamera, which I hate. When you buy something like 911, it must be special inside, more than practicality.

Sorted. I forgot to 'manage mid-roll ads' as RU-vid now allows you to do. They had somehow stuffed 4 ad breaks in to a 17min video, with the first one arriving just 3min 46secs in! I've deleted that one and then another ad break near the end. Thanks for letting me know!

I know what you mean, as I like a more rough and ready feel and a manual shift isn't such a huge issue. Is this all for the American market? I suppose one bonus is that it results in more concentration on the road?
