@kev5656 appreciate it, actually is a real head turner in person my videos are all just with a phone taken in tight spaces and quality gets diluted when I upload them. Took a lot of bs from other 996 owners online every step of the way whenever I asked questions or posted anything I was doing spent a lot of wasted time getting stroked sarcastically by people so they could talk about it amongst themselves so I'm a little defensive now to the say the least. Karma came around and I think the results and overall car came together definitely stands out anywhere and especially amongst 996s. Rarely do I take it any where without pics and questions always positive and than some never a negative anything in person by anyone. Hit me up if I can help I will 🤟
You should really do a video detailing all the modifications. I have a 997 and know a little bit about the 996 but not everything. Interested in what all you did.
I post pretty much daily on my IG stories about this car and what I'm doing or did to it. If I get more interest on here I'll definitely put some more time into videos. All these little clips are just ig content reposted. Right after I bought this I bought a 997 S at auction, fixed it modified it, drove it for a few years I liked it. There's a video of it on this channel.
Picked up a set of used seats,narrowed refoamed, upholstered, the pattern is a vw Recaro plaid can buy material on eBay, home made brackets use existing factory holes but lower closer to floor. Seats with brackets 29lbs each. My factory Recaro are 84 ea with brackets, electronics. I like them 🤟
Looks really great. I have a 2001 996tt and am looking for do some upgrades/mods to it. Did you modiy your existing headlights or source aftermarket ones? They look great. Also, I love the seats.

They're Niche wheels an MHT company in California. I had them made to spec and at the time I bought them 4 years ago they were incredibly affordable for custom made wheels. Took about a month from order to arrival. The rears are 19x10 fronts are 19x8.5. Running 285 or 295 rears they have more slightly more side wall height than stock a stock set up 17s, and weigh less. But I also have Coilovers and custom drop links, and dog bones for full tow camber ,dampening adjustability front and rear. There's a lot more to ride quality involved. It's taken a lot of trial and errors to get it to this point. It's completely transformed from stock no rubbing or bottoming lowrer with full/more spring travel so worth the efforts.

@@garage19builds I get it. I’m just an average guy also. I just sold my race car. And after 32 years of racing I’m moving on and going to buy my first Porsche 996. My dad use to own a restoration company in the 80s that restored and modified Porsches. So I’ve been around them my whole life. And. Ow very excited I finally get to own one myself

@@garage19builds seen some remarkable things. ever see a steering wheel failure and column punches your face in? saw it at sebring…..dude was wearing a 5-pt harness and no hans (should never be permitted). even racing harnesses stretch under a real impact. i realize that is not a track car but no need for the “we all have to die some day” response. maybe not everyone feels the same and many of us prefer to maximize longevity to fill life with great experiences 🍺
@miamirice6840 I get it but no one drives it but me, so doesn't really matter how others feel I like the wheel , and how it feels driving. On another note been in one bad wreck. When I was 17 working a full time job and finishing high-school, I was falling asleep trying to make it home. Got out of the car walked around did push-ups all i could think to do at 17. I was about 8 minutes from home. Got back in the car and woke up in the hospital. Ironically forgetting to put my seat belt on and being ejected from the car through the back window saved my life. The steering column, airbag and all was through the drivers seat, what was left of that was in the back seat. I still wear my seat belt, and always did but that one time I'm glad I didn't.
