Instagram ► / kevins_european_garage Thanks for watching my Spark Plug DIY. This is an easy weekend job. That any DIYer can handle. Check out my other Cayenne videos too.
Alternate sides when you pry with the pliers. Start on the left side first. I tore up the first coil pack around the plastic on the first plug because I was working against myself. This is actually an easy job but I did almost have to lay in the engine bay to get the last 2 plugs out. Thanks for the tutorial.
@@KevinsEuropeanGarage I was able to complete the spark plug change and it was definitely needed. I was more confident after the first coil pull. I did try the paint can opener that others mention but the toward the firewall I used the same tool you showed on the video. It was easier for me.
I think there is small tool it looks like ( ? or like Greek letter Sigma ) or hook, made of aluminum (about 3 inches in length in tool box provided by Porsche. You need that tool to open clip and it pops right up.
I've used a tool for ignition coils to pull them out witch made a process much easier for me , but I didn't use that lubricant that you showed , wonder if it's need to be redone with lubricant ? Will do it with lubricant next time though. Thanks for a great video! Very helpful!
@@ashtonwoods not sure where exactly I've got mine from but this one looks exact same : www.amazon.com/FIRSTINFO-Ignition-Removing-Installing-Pullers/dp/B01J4ZDVP2
I need help,i just installed a new ignition coil pack (6) on my 958 and now it won't start 😞 im sure i did it right..actually i installed back the old ones and it won't start either
hey nice video. i got a different question. got a cam positioning sensor code. car runs rough. i replaced it witha new one. it wont start with the new one. if i put the old one back in she starts. then brake proportioning warning now appears. 2004 v6. i know thats not all the info you need. just throwing it out there.
Well with the cam sensor in back of the engine and with all those wires running there maybe something cane disconnected accidentally. I would say it sounds like that cam sensor is no good. There really isnt much to them. Running roungh throwing a cam code sometimes that could be a timing issue. Possible issue with chain. But its hard to say without having the car to look at
Thx for ur videos again..I found that when releasing the gas pedal, especially the speed was about 30-20km/h, when the transmission dropped from third gear to second gear, the car would a little vibrate, and the ears would not sound comfortable. When speed up and push the gas pedal, there was no such thing. Is this normal?or I should change the spark plugs? Or is it a gearbox program problem? But its better in sports mode when I am driving..
@@KevinsEuropeanGarage I changed TC fluid and spark plugs aready, and I inspected in a garage ,found vibration from front pipe ..Im going to prosche dealer next monday..when I made an appointment.they told me some V6 cayenne have this issue cause original flex too soft.also you can double check holding gas pedal on 1200 rpm.if you have vibration.should from catalytic converter..we will find the result..
@@KevinsEuropeanGarage You are right,I did an additonal support from porsche dealer yesterday. but no any different...seems they don’t know the exactly position of the vibration..waste 400+....Flex part is an issue by design...hope can find a cheap way to fix it...
I have had a viewer recommend mufflerexpress.com for catalytic converts. Unfortunately I dont think there is a cheap way to fix it. The ones they make aren’t to crazy expensive like the factory. I haven’t tried them and probably will when I replace mine
