This feels very disjointed. Discount Cayman due to too track focused and immediately go to the track. Z4 all toys off then a narration about DSC, which all cars have anyway?? Great to see Jason and Karun having fun though.

I really don't get why you'd drop the track version of the Cayman before hitting the circuit but I was more surprised how well the RWD Z4 did against the 4WD Audi!? Happy with my M40i. I won't be tracking it anytime soon 😂

I love TTRS as I have a tt but you can not compare a Cayman and TTRS ! TTRS has to be compare with cayman S or GTS !!!

I own a TTRS. As a daily, it's a great car, even in the twisties. Sounds great with the exhaust roaring in Dynamic mode or it can be very quiet and comfy in Comfort mode. For the track though, I'd take the Cayman.

Two car guys give a barbershop review of three purpose built cars. I have a 718CS and Audi RS5 V8. Getting out of the RS5 and jumping in the Cayman makes you feel like you just jumped on a chainsaw running at full throttle but, you are out to chop some trees no spread butter on your morning crumpet, I don't see any problem. Please learn how to use tolls, don't spread butter with a chainsaw. Still, I do question where your bread is getting buttered. You are both much better than all that.

The T version is the worst for the street. Get a S or GTS verison

1) the cayman is nosy - ofc it is its a bloody track sports car 🙄 2) the TT has rear seats - yes but they are unusable 3) No drag race, no actual substance on the difference between the cars 4) doesn't take track car on track - there was literally no point in not including the cayman, there are only 3 cars for christ sake 5) overacting

great video but 50k for a fresh small monster... the depreciating and everything in mind you can easily buy a e63, rs6, m5, 911 turbo s for 50k... not brand new a generation behind but still they're upper classed cars for the same price

I love the ttrs but different drivers for different cars and using your phone to to get the lap time??? To many variables here. This is a very poor review and like so many have already stated regarding eliminating the best track car before the track test.. this was straight up dumb.

Usual Audi understeer, the squigey chassis of the Z4...the Cayman T would wipe the floor with both!! Poor review guys!! Fuming the Porsche wasn't driven on track...absolutely crazy to bin it after the road test! Another livid viewer!!!!

Watched this video twice as I’m consider these cars as my next purchase. I would have liked to have seen all the cars to all the tests as this would have better. For example, if you did the track test before the others would the RS still be in the running? Great cars, terrific speed, but the track handling looked wayward to me. Other all, the video gets a 3 out of 10. Sorry.

wasn't that the case also with the test M1 vs RS3? the warmer the tyres got the worse the RS3 performed?

The most expensive and powerful TT vs. a pretty base track Cayman vs. a road-oriented Z4. TT and Z4 predictable wins, then you don't put the Cayman on the track. What're you doing?

I went and bought the GLA45, it’s a total hoot and I can still take stuff down the dump. Bear in mind this is the UK and , boys in blue permitting, you can lay the power on the road for about 10 seconds max before you get into arrestability or jail options. Great that we’ve got two track hero’s testing here but the GLA45 is never going on a track. It will overtake most things if needed and then vector back into the traffic and drop under the radar. In all honesty I’ve grown away from the Clarkson (and Plato) shouty driving. Hugely entertaining, but absolutely no relationship to driving it in the real world.... Last question: let’s let the video producers tell us what the daily drives of this demon duo are. Clarkson is famed for driving a Golf GTI as it covers everything you’ll ever need. How about it?

Sports car vs GT cars then complain about on road comfort and take the GT cars to the track. Not clever. They're turning into old men looking for comfort over performance.

let's be real though, a major factor of buying a car is the aesthetic. The Cayman is stunning and a great improvement over the 981/987/986; the BMW is an absolute dog. Last gen z4 was fantastic, how have the design team regressed so much?

I don't think that's the power figure of the BMW because the Toyota Supra was the same producers either more or less power than officially released every engine of that type produces different amounts of power

So - it comes down to lap times differing by 0.5 s. How can the comparison of lap times be valid when there's a different driver doing the laps in each car? (and a different person operating the "stopwatch" - a phone for heaven's sake, started and stopped by a human judging when a fast moving car passes a lap marker - you have to be kidding.) Do we know that they have *exactly* the same driving ability (it would be miraculous if they did)? Even the two lap times for the *same* driver of the Audi differed by 0.7 s. Most school students understand the importance of controlling variables as a necessary condition for experimental validity but these guys don't. Zero credibility.

The dated TT would be the last choice for me. I'd be happy with either the Z4 or Cayman.
