I love that hull with the tiger turret. I often get shot at by hellcats in urban settings and they try to rush me to get to a side of my tank. Only to learn I am back pedaling like a mad man to send a strongly worded "no".
This tanks ability to bounce pretty much every shot frontally and it's 15 mph backup speed makes it by far my favorite tank. This tank in urban combat is unreal.
@@DarkTau Yeah. I consistently bounce US 76s with the rear of the thing, though the Russian 85 has a nasty habit of going through the armor and the engine and one-shotting me.

Hey Odd, I had an idea for a type of video or how you want to call it. It's basically "How high can we get". You take a tank and look how hard you can uptier it so it still works. If this doesn't suite you, please just bully some MBTs with the locust, sturmpanzer or anything else which tilts those sweatlords :D Anyways, great video as always, you are truly a joy to watch. You have an impressive encyclopedic knowledge of tanks and planes you are facing and an ability to quickly recognise them ... I on the other hand unfortunately suffer from prosopagnosia as far as other vehicles in WT are concerned
i still love the reaction from people when you drive backwards with it. but i would love it when the front sides what have 80mm would have a bit more armor
Tiger p excels at peaking corners. If you peak correctly and the only part enemy can see is an angled front hull. If you are evil enough, you can throw some bushes to cover the front of the hull, and people will mistake it for a regular tiger and shoot the hull.

Hey in game 1 i was the panther A (getdishriod01) and you shouldnt have placed so much confidence in me lol. I live in regional victoria in australia and i get 900 ping stable so playing war thunder is even more stress inducing than what it normally is. I asked if you could shoutout the british 2.7 AA (the AEC AA) the best AA in the game (not). Could you play it and try to get an ace? Very cool being apart of this vid btw.

You say it doesn't do well at range or in up tiers, but those are the matches I do best with this beauty. Also cupola shots never seem to do much for me. Whether I'm shooting them or mine's being shot. Shells either never pen or optics eat everything. And personally, I HATE advance, especially in this tank with her slow turret traverse.

I got this one on discount. It has massive weak spots but people never shoot them. The main problem with it is how cumbersome it is and how often your barrel gets shot out.
Odd, could you please do a video on the IKV 72? It has -20 degrees of fun elevation making it almost as depressed as me! And it’s low tier fun tier with the best armor in war thunder!
Oh Odd, you can angle this tank. It's called angling around a corner, hide the plate that is closest to the corner behind the object and the other will be hidden behind your 200mm front plate. Plus the turret ring weak spot is now mostly D E A D so no more MLG shots from T-34s and Hellcats.
Sorry to leave a comment on your year old one, but to add to this, if you're fortunate enough to have the corner on your left side, you can hide your cupola too.
Ok, Odd...Question to you...You seem to favor the Me410 with the 30mm's over the He219. Is this just personal pref and..what do you find as pro/con for each?
To get coupons for the specific tank you want, you can get it from a event or you can get it with gaijin coins, to get gaijin coins you need to sell something rare on the market place or buy Gaijin coins with real money but keep in mind 1 Gaijin coin= 1 dollar. Let's say if the Porsche tiger prototype is 63 Gaijin coins on the market place you will need 63 dollars
It’s even worse when the fighters they take out can’t do anything to the ground targets. I like taking the fighters out that can actually kill a tank. I don’t do good at dog fights but at least I’ll try. I got accused of cheating with the 112 taking out and crippling so many tanks. If you can’t at least kill two tanks while up in the air you aren’t doing any good for your team.
I just wish they modeled the electric transmissions on the Maus, Tiger P, and Ferdinand correctly. There are no gears, why are we shifting... Also electric has crazy high torque, so irl it wouldn't be near as sluggish.

Honestly I kind of wish they would add the tiger Porsche as a main vehicle you can actually unlock in the tree and start replacing a lot of the unlockable command versions of the vehicles with VK prototype vehicles like the VK 360h and the VK 3001 h lol and or just actually add a bunch more vks lol bc thier awesome and a good portion were actually built granted they were never used for combat but I mean war thunder has the kv220 soooko why the hell not lol 😂😂 also I ended up actually buying this thing before I saw the video but the reason why is because I understood the 82 mm trap buuut I managed to troll people so hard with it because I wiggle so much so usually the only way I'd eyes by good player knocking out my tracks other than that most of the time I'm laying into the enemy targets especially with the base pzgr nukey bois lol 😂
Unfortunately, the sheer complexity of the system (especially the transmission and generators) as well as being a resource hog (specifically copper) are not things highly desired in the middle of a war. Porche had something unique, but FAR from ready for its time.

@@callidusvulpes5556 I'll explain what it was like internally. So, first thing to note are the 2 engines. The original engines were designed by Porche as 10 cylinders. These engines don't (directly) drive the tank itself. These 2 engines are required for the 2 250 kW DC generators. All those are required for the very unique electromechanical transmission. Both generators power a joint power line to the transmission that powers a drive motor on each side for each track. Though the transmission was fairly easy for the driver as it only had 3 'gears' per say (really modes of driving for different ground conditions and slopes). As you could guess, this would be a nightmare for both the crew for any repairs and engineers for any larger repairs. Not to mention specialized training for driving and repairing. The transmission also dropped in efficiency as speed increased, vastly decreasing operational range, not something highly desired. The other big issue is the amount of copper needed. 2 large generators as well as the electromechanical transmission are going to consume quite a lot where much of that could go to many other electronics in all areas of the wehrmacht (especially communications equipment). An additional problem was Porches original engines had a tendency to catch fire in testing, another problem to tack on to the now quite long list of many. This can even be seen in the Ferdinand as they had to swap out and use Maybach HL 120's (again, taking an additional engine that could go to a Panzer IV, StuG, or Jagdpanzer IV, etc). So, a very complex, time, and resource consuming machine compared to say Henschel's design.

Don't get it, it's badly nerfed. It's br got moved to 5.0, whenever I try to play it.... it always gets up tiered to 5.7 and I also this they nerfed the penetration on it
