This update is actually quite subtle, tidied up bumpers and air intakes and probably several updates under the skin, Porsche like to improve their cars gradually to great effect.
Great car - I just took delivery of a 21 Porsche Panamera 4s e-hybrid sport turismo in papaya metallic and cohiba interior & I love it! It is truly an amazing vehicle. Watching some of your earlier videos helped me to decide to get this vs Audi & BMW
Great review Roger! I’ve had a 2017 4-E Hybrid Saloon for about a month now, really is a stunning bit of kit, with 456 hp, it’s still returning 56mpg at the moment. Love the duel personalities, silent when you want it to be, in E mode, and hides its weigh and size well when you want it to on a favourite bit of road. Can imagine how good the 4S would be.
@@RogerBaileyOnCars Thanks Roger, certainly will be holding on to it for a while I think! That Sport Turismo does look great though! The car has made me want to try a 911 now though!
Hi Roger - another great video! Your mastery of the craft (story telling and videography) is wonderful. As a 911, I haven’t really understood what Porsche was after with the Panamera. Your expose has brought me several steps closer.
Excellent video and superb review giving us a wonderful insight to a car I am sure many of us have often wondered about and not totally understood ............ Until now and Roger Baileys driver insight and balanced review. Well done Roger, please keep the videos and content coming. Many thanks.
Said it before & said it again: if id pick one Porsche it might be this as it ticks most of the bells: practicality, looks, power, and i am guessing like you say above all: Comfort (i assume both in seats, and driving feel esp with that smooth PDK) You could pick a GTRS but were you gonna use all that power which u already have enough of in a Panamera? (GTRS belongs on a track). But the thing is, the GTRS probably wont have the same comfort as the Panamera? And still it dosent look like a SUV, which in my book is a plus. Is there any other good rivals than the Audi RS6 to this?
I'm always curious as to what would happen when a _plug in hybrid_ car, runs out of electricity? I'm assuming that they'd revert to just running on the wheels that the engine powers? That aside, another perfectly presented video from Mr. B. Your No1 Stalker 8-))...
yes TZ when the electricity runs out its on petrol power only until it has time to regenerate during steady driving, most of my time with the car it was out of electricity, Thanks for Stalking, :-)
spot on and really good review - the 4s hybrid is likely the pick of the crop but the turbos s ehbrid has the v8. best car ive ever owned - moved out of the amg gt 63s 4 door after only 5 months, as i test drove one at the silverstone porsche experience. Totally sold theyre brilliant i had no idea a car with this much power and 4 doors could be this comfortable and offer such a great driving experience. Double the mpg of simiarlarly powerful amg - electric mode is surprisingly relaxing especially in traffic and when youve the option of the v8. so far it seems to offer the best of many worlds on uk roads....the merc not so.
Both cars are epic, you Royd chose right with the Audi for 5 seats & loads of storage, I being in need of an image uplift would lean towards the Porsche, awful decision to have to make.
Panamera is indeed a class act probably the ultimate all round car to own, fast and refined, this body style not only looks stylish it adds even more practicality, whats not to like? great video
Great video again Roger - keep those superlatives coming, mesmerising! That’s a great car and with E10 coming an option worth considering. Lead/delivery time could be a while??
Presumably this Newley edition is sold out, as I can't see any mention of it on Porsche's website. How does it differ from the standard version? Is there a signed photo of Anthony Newley in the glovebox, perhaps?
