I agree MrLegit! At #1 for engine/exhaust sound is the AlfaRomeo, #2, the Audi, and #3, the Porsche. The Porsche sounded good, but it was a bit too quiet, civil and smooth sounding, imo. Where as the AlfaRomeo and the Audi were both louder, and also had that sweet, cracklin' and poppin' sound, that most of us car enthusiasts just love! However imo, the Alfa's "growl" was the most intense sounding one! 😎
@Ethan Pae Is it really more thrilling? I haven't owned any of them, but it sounds like BMW is a pretty thrilling driving experience. Maybe the Ferrari engine makes it better? Or is Italian made better than German made?
They need a proper tree or something - the other drivers consistently seem to launch a half second later than Mat - whether intentional or not, it is certainly skewing the results
Maximillian Rossi da alfista e amante delle auto italiane, pensavo che la Stelvio avrebbe battuto facilmente la Macan avendo 70 cv in più e pesando 200 kg in meno.
I bought the Giulia Quad but, although I LOVE it, I now realize the Stelvio Quad is simply the best performance vehicle money can buy. The fact that it offers M3 performance with unparalleled practically is incredible! The day I pay off my Giulia I’m going on the hunt for a Stelvio Quad. Having both in my garage is my goal and dream!
Alfa Romeo all day long! It's fast as Fu.. It's loud as Sh.. And it's just look superb PS: the Alfa driver had bad reaction and prob. didn't brake boost :/
Broadz I love the Alfa a lot but honestly I feel like it’s going to be unreliable cause I think their squeezing too much power out of the small engine, i know it’s Ferrari derived but they tweaked a lot with the engine
I've driven my Stelvio QV for 24k km without just one problem! And trust me, I am driving this car really hard. Had an Mercedes E43 Coupe before and had to gave it back after Mercedes couldn't fix it. But go on with your dreams of Alfa will break
The Pizza Club I wanna get Giulia QF but like I said my worry was the unreliability. I know FCA has definitely improved their reliability over the years though.
O 99 yeah it just seems like too much for it yk? But that’s what every car manufacturer is doing now, literally. I mean honestly, it’s cool having that power but it’s going to suck once it’s off warranty. That’s why Toyota/Lexus doesn’t turbo everything, naturally aspirated engines will die quicker than we think, and I’m going to miss it 😔
@@soundofeighthooves its far more reliable than those 2 cars , but idiots with same comments on RU-vid just find it funny to poke Alfa Romeo about 80s reliability
No matter what the result is, for me the winners are Alfa Romeo with its insane performance having no LC and the Audi competing with the other 2 having the lowest price.
@O 99 sales figures are far more about marketing and brand image rather than the ability and looks of the car, i mean look how many beatles were sold when for most of its life other companies made far better cars
2:58 "Porsch power!". The new 2.9 engine is an Audi unit though... The smaller 2.0 engine is from the VW Golf GTI, and the chassis for the Macan is from the last gen Audi Q5. "Porsche - there is no substitute" - apart from the VW or Audi which it's based on... Only true Porsches left are the 718 and 911.
It's never the "same" engine. Porsche has never put anything into anything without at least massaging it first. Aaaaand Porsche AG owns the majority of VW Group so in the end it's all a Porsche engine ;)
@@vasilliskontis6330 nah I think ur just dumb, cuz I really don't get how the other guy is stupid for wanting to buy a German car for that money. Alpha's are not nearly as reliable and for 70k its not worth it.
Fun video to watch. The one with the most HP does have the pulling power. However, it is worth spending all the extra money for an SUV to be that quick? Personally, a 12.9 quarter mile anything is nothing to be ashamed of. The RSQ3 has my vote for the money.
@O 99 v6's are some of the most sonorous engines, like alfa's own Busso engine, which used to be one of the only redeeming features on them for years (aside from looks)
MuD the Master you should see him driving a BMW! On a 3 second count down he goes on 2. Unless Audi have lent him a car for a month then Audi’s mysteriously start winning more and more races. Fortune favours those who lend Mat Watson a car.
@O 99 ok josé. The stelvio sound much better than a glc63s. Doesn't matter the V8...also, the steering is better in the QV. That's why. But you are entitled to your opinion :)
It's a new feature for the 2020 model year: An interior air ioniser. Ionisation reduces the microbial and pollutant content of the air. This increases the quality of air inside the cabin and can have a noticeably positive impact on wellbeing, or so Porsche says. It's a 350 dollar option.
He always brakes earlier for the brake test and step on the pedal earlier in the rolling test-because he’s the one calling the shots. It happens naturally when you are the one doing the counting. Come on mat, let someone else do the count😅
The Porsche has upgraded carbon ceramic brakes, the Alfa has standard brakes. Not a fair comparison. In the real world the Alfa would also win most of the drag races since most Porsche drivers won't engage launch control for each drag race. Using launch control is demanding for the car.
@@terlinde Carbon brakes will make no difference on a single brake test, possibly make it longer as they aren't as good when cold. Porsche owners will use launch control whenever they like, just hit brake and throttle, it's not demanding at all.
@@alexstels1 you seem to be very smart aren't you? Sure, those 2.5 5zyl are an good platform but you also can tune other engines. Don't compare and stage3 Audi to cars with simple Ecu tune
Someone isn't familiar with the EA855 EVO engine. The TTRS and RS3 are running 8-second 1/4 miles. The RSQ3 has easy 9-second potential. It's always wiser to learn more and assume less.
I remember when I was in my early 20's Ferraris and all the top end cars used to do mid to high 12's quarter mile times... Now if your not in the low 12's high elevens your slow...
