Cooler water pumps are unsafe to use. Current with 230 Volt in wires are immersed in water tank to supply power to Submersible pumps. Any leakage of electrical current in water can give fatal shock. How safe are these cheap pumps to prevent water from entering in the electric motor ? Why such pumps do not carry BIS Mark ?

These things are awesome. I've only used them in Central/East Texas. The area was humid but not as humid as say Florida. In ultra dry environments you can literally double your temp reduction. I've not experienced that but considering how well it worked in a humid environment I'm sure it is amazing. I have never purchased one. The company I worked for bought several of them. I know they can get pricey depending on which one you buy. But you get what you pay for and the low energy cost definitely will make up for it. They really make a difference. Always been fascinated with these things. Preventative maintanence is a must. Take the few minutes to make sure your pump doesn't run dry or get clogged with dust. It is extremely easy and the electric cost isn't bad at all.

@@mohammedsharif9037, the total cost of ownership (over the medium & long terms) are far more economical than AC units - electrical bill and maitenance as well as running costs.
Hi Chetan, if the pad is hardened (usually because of deposits) and/or the grooves are blocked then it's time for new pads. Let us know if you need replacements.
