A never-say-die Collingwood has pulled off yet another of its famous final-quarter heists, beating Port Adelaide by two points in a game-of-the-year contender.
In typical fashion, the Magpies trailed by 17 points at three-quarter-time but stormed home with six goals in the last stanza to pinch another scarcely believable comeback win and firm up their premiership favouritism.

@@jamietucker6717I am a Collingwood Supporter as you will see from my comment above but remember losing prelim finals for the power is a lock think of 2020 and 2021 where port Adelaide went out in a prelim both of those years. In my opinion I think the grand final will be between Collingwood(CARN THE PIES) and Melbourne where Collingwood(CARN THE PIES) will win by 420 points

Game of the season. Elite skill, fast, entertaining from start to finish, in spite of the wet ground. How many times did the lead change in the 4th quarter! A good finals preview. Both teams are next level. Port won’t lose any admirers. Craig MacRae said it’s their best win during his tenure and I agree. Stunning victory.

My goodness , that was a fantastic and epic game of Footy, I watched it on TV from start to finish and I was absolutely amazed by both Collingwood and Port Adelaide. Both teams did their absolute best and in the end Collingwood won by the skin of their teeth with an insane victory of 2 points. Congratulations to Collingwood, Also Masion Cox you are epic and Awesome Sauce, fantastic job in the game. 😊 😊

That is a sight rarely seen in any game. At 2.42 there are 4 Magpies in their attacking goalsquare raffling the footy, while no Power players are in the picture. This was a great game to watch. Port have realised their ability to maybe go all the way & Collingwood are coached superbly as a unit doing everything right. I hate to say it, but i can't see my Lions or any other team keeping these two out of the GF this year...but you never know, footy is a funny game.

Proper scrappy game in a lot of ways, but both teams showed heaps of quality despite the crazy conditions. Bloody hell those clutch kicks from both Daicos boys, Sidey, Hill and ofc Elliott were unreal - they do not miss when it matters.

Port fans have always been the same.... They're some of the worst whiny hypocrites in the game. The majority of them still haven't grown up and moved past their fallacious belief that the Crows cost them the spot for the first SA team in the AFL... The truth is that the AFL used Port to pressure the SANFL into forming a composite team because they didn't really WANT to have the argument with Port about their jumper and Magpie insignia. A couple of decades later and the only thing that's constantly in their mouths more than their feet is the salt they can't get past 😏

Port had the absolute umpires favour for 3 quarters. Not so in the 4th. I think on the whole game Port can't complain. They rested blokes for this game, on their patch, played their best, had the rub of the green for 3 qtrs and still came up short. Gonna be tough in finals......

What I learnt from Port’s loss Their ladder position doesn’t truely represent the ladder They lack a strong big bodied defender to quell opposition momentum swings Bad kicking equates to bad football They won’t experience ultimate success until they strengthen their mental prowess Hopefully the anger of this loss galvanises them and the seething helps them to the point they do not experience another loss

@@DV-zv4ox I am viewing the loss, in it’s entirety. If you look at Port’s personnel you would have to come to that conclusion that they are missing something essential in defence. If they had a strong lockdown defender they would’ve won. They wouldn’t concede 6 goals in the last quarter.

Lol! This has to be bait! The umpires did a lot better this game than the first time these two clashed. Port kick straight the Pies wouldn’t have been close. The only thing this game shows is the Pies have good goal kickers who take there chances. Port dominated the 2nd and 3rd.

@@peterbaini8752 Mate the Pies got a couple lovely goals from the umpires in the last quarter from free kicks. Including the AFLs golden boy who could have very well ducked/slide the tacklers arm up. You are delusional. Unless you expect to have games handed to you by umpires every week. This was a good close game. Could have gone either way. Port kick straight they would have won is pretty clear.

What I take away from this game is that Port Adelaide are a better team dominated most of the game and wasted too many opportunities and the game was there's to win.. Collingwood absolutely great at finishing and doing what it takes to win and have the ability to finish off set shots from any angle inside the 50 hard to beat.. my conclusion is Port had chances to win it and didn't kick straight when them opportunities were available
