In Hinkleys post presser he states we were good for 3 quarters. That says it all. DELUSIONAL!!!! We played struggling, panicky, tail chasing garbage for those 3 quarters

As soon as Lord is ready, Dixon needs to go. I don't understand the logic of having a tall forward in as the sub either? The sub is meant to provide fresh legs and some extra push, but he just doesn't do it. Need to start making some of our passenger players actually work for their spots, I bet those who aren't getting games will work their asses off to keep their spots given the opportunity. Great to see Mead on the rise and Georgiades having a good go.

The game was lost on selection. Picking 4 talls was never going to work especially if 1 of them was going to be sub which was a BIG MISTAKE. I'm sorry but Dixon is done and isn't in the best 22 anymore, 1 touch and 2 tackles for 3 quarters is not good enough considering he had the rest the week prior. Our gameplan and system is a total mess. Our tall defenders have been exposed and they lack synergy BIG TIME and some of the decision making was just baffling which resulted in turnover goals. This system of ours DOES NOT WORK with our defenders and time and time again, they get exposed by losing the 1-on-1 contest or when the ball hits the ground. This is seriously becoming a HUGE ISSUE since for years this has been a problem and it won't get fixed anytime soon since the coaches won't switch the magnets around. Having no small defenders is also becoming another issue with Lachie Jones looking extremely lost against Williams who just recently swapped from playing in the back to forward. That is damning and alarming to see. Have the coaches ever considered throwing DBJ in the backline again since it's better than having these "half-back flankers" playing as defenders or at least try something different? Also Ryan Burton has been a HUGE liability with his lack of defensive efforts and he looks slow. We cannot play him in the team until he gets the memo that simply having a nice kick is not enough. Simple as that. We are very one-dimensional when it comes to transitioning the ball from defence to forward and always resort to bombing it out near the boundary line. Look at how the Hawks sets up their kick-ins against us. That should be the blueprint to executing the kick-ins. There were a few players who could hold their heads high in JHF and Mitch Georgiades. Otherwise, most of the team were either okay or passengers and WE KEEP LOSING THE SAME WAY OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND I AM SICK OF THIS. GETTING SMASHED IN THE MIDFIELD WHEN IT MATTERS AND THE DEFENDERS LOSING THE 1-ON-1 CONTEST AND BEING SOFT AS FUCK. NOTHING HAS CHANGED WHATSOEVER AND WILL NOT CHANGE ANYTIME SOON. I hate how the footy media calls Port a "fake top 4 team" because that tag is true. WE ARE SO MENTALLY WEAK AND KEN KEEPS SAYING THE SAME REASONS OVER AND OVER AGAIN IN HIS PRESSES; "WE'RE LEARNING". FUCK THIS SHIT, 12 years and nothing to show for it. We will always lose against the better teams and fail the BIG TEST since we are mid at best since we are so weak and concede the battle once a bit of pressure has been applied. I could say more but I already ranted on enough.

Couldn't agree more sadly. Once again Port is the "just getting by" club. I'm still blown away by the fact that we are on the ladder where we are. We don't deserve it unfortunately.

No matter who we play I am always nervous, spot on with the no confidence, our club wont ever go the next level without major changes

Mitch Georgiades best game i've ever seen. Finlayson amazing for a quarter and Dixon very down for 3 seemed mismanaged. Port can make a charge still for the top 4. BTW I don't go for them so no bias.

Yeah it wasn't our night last night... hopefully the bye helps up a bit but now we have 2 tough games... gws at Engie stadium and Brisbane at home. It's going to be tough.

The fear at the start of the year was how would the new recruits go being average players and now it's confirmed, they are C graders. Also Dixon is past his prime, has to go. You also have to take into consideration 3 top liners Rozee, Rioli and Sam PP werent playing.

Hard to see us going anywhere with the play style we are choosing to implement right now. I’ve seen this for years we don’t defend man on man around the field we guard the space and get exposed by players who are fit and have pace to runaway. No one has pace and can do chase down tackles. Dixon and Marshall can’t run can’t mark and cannot produce score against top eight sides. Lachie Jonas cannot mark kick and tackle to save his life. Aliir was poorly managed the whole night and it wasn’t his fault, he was tackling and marking where he was put. Our midfielders after halftime were absolutely out contested and bullied around the ball except for JHF. THIS CLUB NEEDS TOO HAVE A REVIEW BIG TIME.

Definitely correct that the forward line is the biggest issue at the moment, clearly needs more agile players in there. I think if Rioli hadn't been injured and Lord swapped for Dickson there would have been a big improvement. All that said though, I think fans are going overboard on the complaints. The first three quarters were a great show of what the defence can do, and it wouldn't have taken much to tip the scales our way early in the game.

I disagree about the forwards. The set up is all wrong, but we have the players. When Charlie was injured for a long spell, Todd did very well. Last week, no Charlie, I know a poor opposition, but good delivery and Todd does well. Settle the forward line. Todd with Mitch and Jeremey playing in and out higher up the ground. When Ollie Lord becomes available he becomes the other tall and Jeremey move into a utility role around the ground, but also rotating through the forward line as the other three go to the bench for their rest. When Willy and (Sam 2025) are back are back, supported by our other smalls, it's a formidable front half. It's time for Charlie to go, in fact it's overdue. When he plays, we play a different way. The players are there to do the job, it's a matter of how you use then and of course, good delivery to leading forwards is essential. Don't go Back to the kick it high and get the forwards to bring the ball to the ground approach. It's only half way through the season and so we should not give up. But, I do agree that we have not improved over the past few seasons, yet. COME ON, WE ARE PORT ADELAIDE. There is no way we miss finals...

Confused why the recruits cop so much flak. It’s a new club which takes time to get into how the team plays. And please tell me who else was out there? Port had needs in ruck defence and got 2 for each. Not like there was Steven may or Darcy Moore available? BZT for me has been under rated

Got some inside info that Kenny is the root of the problem with his favourites over playing the best possible, sticking to attacking corridoor football which gets found out by good teams and jabbing guys/playing hurt I.e. rozee hammy game, duursma was playing with 4 cortisone shots in 6 weeks last yr. Need a change

If we make the finals, we will fail. We always do. The club failed us last year all because we won 13 straight, then what happened? The coach was safe, and we failed in finals. Cahill coached the magpies to 15 straight, I believe, but we lost the prelim. What was Cahill's response? we will remember losing a prelim, not 15 straight . I want my club back I want a new coach is Carr the answer I honestly don't know But who ever comes in needs to sweep the broom through our assistance coach and list. We have become a boys club like the other mob in this state

From the perspective of a Carlton supporter I was very pleased to see you picked dixon and went tall. Knowing you lost rioli and other key players I knew we had a shot because ports second tier of players don’t hold up. We had that exact same issue 3 years ago and fixed it, Hinkley seems fine with it tho…

Under Hinkley, Port has become weak and pretentious with poor skill level, poor decision making and a going through the motions attitude. And that is all coaching. It’s all been said before. Over and over again. Be warned PAFC, a lot of supporters are on the verge of walking away, some already have.

This isn't on ken imo. This is on the forwards and backline coaches. They choose really who they want in those areas and how it is setup. Chad Cornes just isn't right for forwards. But yes, Port need to ONLY have two key forwards. Period. They either rotate through the season or play in 2s... lord is the future they need to work with and Georgiades with Marshall swapping. Jezza is just going to have to learn another trait either he plays wing and actually works and not be lazy or defence and same thing OR they drop him. Should only be 2 key forwards, 2 small forwards and 2 rotating mids in forward. That's it. Backline needs to be Aliir floating intercepter and Sav key defender. Only need Houston and Farrel. That's it for Half back... the other defender needs a small medium fast lock down defender...

The biggest disaster in the recent history of this club is getting rid of Dougal Howard. What a gun. Can you imagine what might have been with Allir and Howard in the back line.

Biggest issue I saw was no one defending the stoppage over and over again in the last quarter.

JHF: Excellent straight ahead bore through type player, but when someone like 29 year old Patrick Cripps can shimmy their hips and slip him, then it's time to accept that he plays footy on ice skates. As for Port, they are top 8 "filler" right now, and I reckon a "mini rebuild" starting at the end of 2024 is in order.

I'm done with this club, until some massive changes occur.

The whole club needs to sit down and see “Onward to Victory” as the Port Adelaide values were lacking or non existent in some players.

Lachie Jones hasn't looked competent for a long time. Finlayson hasn't performed when it counts in his whole career. I've been saying that Dixon should have been sent out to pasture for two years. I love Marshall, but it's clear that he's a support player at his best and we don't see his best all that often. The midfield is the most over-rated thing on Earth. Evans, Mead, and McEntee are career minor leaguers. Bergman... is that guy still playing? I haven't seen him since last year. Burton? F me. All that aside, it boils down to what everyone has been saying for years: we're not going to win with Ken at the helm. That man is such a proven loser, his team's collapses are more certain than gravity. The second the game ends, what's he doing? Patting people on the tummy, laughing his a$$ off, big smile, cheek to cheek. The next video from team practice will once again show everybody giggling like schoolgirls, competing at high-angle trick bananas. There is no pressure, no expectation, and no standard for anyone on this team. Uncle Kenny is here to give you hugs and tell you you're pretty. The personnel could be better than this. With Ken, they never will be. Enjoy not winning; the team will never do what needed to be done years ago. It's just getting too much to watch anymore.
