☀️🔋 Port Hedland Solar and Battery Project Update ⚡️🔌
APA Group is constructing the 45 megawatts AC Port Hedland Solar Photovoltaic generation facility and 35 MW / 37.6 MWh Battery Energy Storage System, which will supply renewable energy for BHP’s port operations and other customers in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. These new facilities will accompany the existing Port Hedland Power Station, owned and operated by APA.
The Western Australian Government has committed funding support of $1.5 million for the battery energy storage system as part of its Clean Energy Future Fund.
