Thank you so much for this valuable resource. It's hard to believe it was 9 years ago that you started this project - if my memory serves me right, it was just going to be one video for your children, but then you needed to continue it in another.... And so history was made! I tried to keep up but at one point had to bide my time, for a number of years, until I could binge watch. It was at the same time that, unbeknownst to us at the time, our Dad began to suffer a specific kind of dementia, along with numerous other health problems. The strong, independent, reliable Dad who used to take us on history tours around town... I showed him this RU-vid channel, but didn't know that he forgot by the time I left his house. All through these years this series was one of the rare things that took his mind off the pain he suffered, but he could only watch it if one of us was there to open RU-vid and find the videos. Much later, when he was at the nursing home, he had a tablet for internet, and before Covid-19 hit I set it up for RU-vid, subscribing to this channel and some old music, TV and movie channels. I just looked at his RU-vid history and saw that he frequently watched these videos, which was a comfort to me. Late last year he said the tablet stopped taking a charge, but we couldn't get inside the facility to check it out. It turned out the charger cord had snapped. That's when we ordered the series on DVD, and it was a blessing. I'm so grateful to you for giving him something that made him forget his pain and allowed him to remember familiar things at a time when, as far as he knew, he was in unfamiliar surroundings, even though he had worked there as an aide following his retirement from Chrysler. He didn't recognize the staff, and sometimes he didn't recognize me, but he recognized the sights in your videos. I hope the residents at his nursing home now and in the future find the same comfort he did as they watch them. I'm very sad that this is the last one, but I will continue to revisit and enjoy every one of them in the future. I wish you and your lovely bride the very best, and a happy retirement.

Thank you for all your efforts. I thoroughly enjoyed your video series. I've seen many videos here on RU-vid. But in my opinion no one has done as expertly a job as you have. I've learned a lot about port Huron that I never knew. This video series should be mandatory in school. God bless you and thank you. F.Y.I. I'm a former BIG RED from port Huron high school. I was in the class of 1979. However I left in 78 to serve 3 years in the army.

Thank you for all your work on Port Huron's history. I learned so much and will pass it on to younger generations. I can trace my family back to at least the mid 1800s in Port Huron. FYI a friend of ,one lives in one of the Ballantine Lofts and it is very nice, especially the rooftop!

I just discovered your channel today upon the recommendation of someone in another channel. This is awesome! I like looking at old pictures and learning about the story and history behind them. It's kinda sad that the first video of yours I saw is the last one. But you have a great library of videos so I guess I'm going to take my sweet time watching each one of them. Mabuhay from the Philippines, BOB!

My wife and I just moved to Port Huron, and we heard about your channel from the gentleman running the State Perceptory. This is a huge treat for us since we love history and antiquities! We watch two or three videos each night, and are just amazed at the work you put into it, and the stories you share. Thank you for making this series!

Awesome series bob. Some old photos from Wayne state came from Detroit Edison. I’ve been looking at them for years at work. They are a cool resource. Thank you for all your hard work.
