You never fished the best ares of the port. Fish inside lake washington. Fish during the high tide. Spinnerbaits or chatterbaits out in open water. Senko, drop shot, frogs around the edges. That's where to bigs hang out. It's a great place to fish once you learn it. Good luck out there!.
@@jimmystinnett7582 if you get off 80 at Jefferson go south until you the sign on your right for barge canal access. You can park in there and walk a yak down the boat launch no problem.
if you want different results then you have to try different lures. Shallow-running crankbaits got you small fish. Switch to deeper diving lures where the bigger fish are. What is running in the Sac the time of year you're fishing? Find out and match the bait.
right in middle of dock and bank i was on a pond prowler, i lowered a mushroom anchor on a 100ft rope, it seemed it would never touch the bottom , i used half the rope approximately 50 Ft of rope . that place is unbelievably DEEP ITS SCARY!!!! when you hear the name deep water channel you don't picture or think exactly how deep that body of water really is . i only lowered it there in that sport i dont know if its deeper in other spots.
@@ogdadbod3038 The only access I know of is the barge canal access. There are definitely spots to bank fish but you’ll be walking a while. Google maps is your best friend.
be careful going there at night , my coworker's uncle works for the DFG. my coworkers uncle told him not to go at night because they had an incident of some anglers fishing there at night , unfortunately they were robbed at gun point. this was back in 2008-2009. and there's also homeless people that live on those trails.
